People are stupid!:
When I first started out in life, I was confident that the majority of our population was intelligent, with only a couple of bad apples.  Since then, I have worked retail.  Let me assure you.  People are stupid.

Let me give you some examples of what I have witnessed.  Recently I worked at a gas station with the company I work for.  During that time, I've seen a LARGE number of inbred people who will sit there filling up their car/truck/suv while leaving their engine running.  Here in Michigan they have laws which prohibit this act, as it is a FIRE hazard.

When you approach these people and let them know that they can't fuel their cars up with the engine running, they look at you as if you have a third eye.  I guess the worst I've seen, is some jackass in a nice suit, nice car, leaves his car running, starts pumping gas, and then walks into the gas station.  WHAT THE HELL is he thinking?  You can tell by looking at him he probably has a college education... but appearently they don't teach people common sense in school.

I guess the point of this ranting is to bring to light that as a nation, we are really not as smart as we would like to think we are.  There are a lot of really really stupid people out there.  A degree from some college does not ensure you are getting a winner.  It is a shame that there is no way to teach common sense.  If there was, I think we would be a lot better off.  Oh well, just had to get this out of my system.
