I shot this deer in 1996, the day before I was to have my formal wedding pictures made. As you can see, the deer had a small 6 point rack, but was very large in body size. My youngest brother and the oldest of my children were helping me hang it in the tree. As I let go to tie the rope, they dropped it and it hit me, horns first dead in the face. The horn stabbed through my cheek into my sinus cavity and took a few stitches to repair. The most painful part of the entire incident other than the fact the lower half of my face was numb for 6 months, was the laughing, jokes and smart remarks from the E.R. staff. Like I said earlier, you can't eat the horns,so I cut them off and enjoyed fresh venison.
