Jakarta confirms foreign terrorist link
Indonesia's military chief says foreign terrorists have been involved in sectarian
violence in the Maluku islands and Central Sulawesi.
General Endriartono Sutarto says the National Intelligence Agency has confirmed the
presence of foreign terrorists.
He says they have conducted attacks...and trained and armed local militants.
But he says there's no proof they are linked to the al-Qaeda network of Osama bin
Laden.
No details have been released on the number of foreigners involved, when they were
active or who they aided.
