Landmine kills man in Ambon
A man has been killed after
stepping on a landmine near the restive eastern Indonesian city of
Ambon.
The official Antara newsagency says the man died of injuries
shortly after stepping on the mine placed in a footpath on the
outskirts of Ambon while returning from a hunting trip.
Ambon has been troubled by violence between Muslims and Christians
despite a peace pact in February that is aimed at ending more than
three years of sectarian clashes there.
