To My Church
Family
As I sit here
watching the
falling snow
And I look out
and see the
street lights
glow
I think about
what Christmas
really means
There's carols,
the tree and
Nativity scenes
But what really
means the most
to me
Is my wonderful
St. John's
family
I never felt
such warmth and
love
My choir friends
seem sent from
above
Oh sure, we
don't always see
eye to eye
Sometimes we are
close to seeing
sparks fly
But beneath it
all, we really
care
It shows
whenever we
gather and share
So as we
celebrate Jesus'
birth
I thank God for
this place on
earth
And thank Him
always in
fervent prayer
For the Sunday
my footsteps
took me there
I've found
wonderful
friends in this
world of strife
And I'll cherish
them all for the
rest of my life.
