The trees look so pretty this time of the year
Summer is gone and autumn is here
God painted the leaves for all to see,
A picture of beauty for you and for me
A profusion of color, the red, gold and green
Makes the most beautiful picture that I've ever seen
It reminds me to thank God for the wonders of life
In spite of our troubles and worries and strife
Give thanks for the love of that special man
Hold on to that feeling as long as you can
Be thankful for food and things that we need
Help us to see if our thoughts turned to greed
So as we sit down on Thanksgiving Day,
Let us be grateful for all that we may
Bless our food and our bounty and all that we love
