Sacrifices, Part Twelve

And yet Paul insisted that the contrary was true in his Epistle to the Hebrews:

Romans 8: 1-3: "Now is the main point of the things we are saying. We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer."

Romans 9:11-28: "But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"

"And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance."

"For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, "This is the blood of our covenant which God has commanded you." Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of his ministry. And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission."

Gentle readers, what you read above is an abomination. First of all, let us review the meaning of the word "kosher." The life is in the blood, therefore, dealing in blood is defilement regardless of what the Jews say about Moses. If Moses was truly a Messiah, he did not engage in these satanic practices. Secondly, a testament in the Biblical sense does not apply to a "Last Will and Testament," in which someone gives orders to be followed after his/her death. That person testifies that he or she is in their right mind at the time of the writing of the will and nothing more.

A testament in the Biblical sense is interchangeable with the word "covenant." In this context, a covenant is a binding and solemn agreement between God and man, to be carried out while man is still alive. Saul used his knowledge of the Hebrew faith and the legal system to twist the work that Jesus did on the cross because he was more concerned with quantity than quality. In my opinion, "Paul's" motto was "Any Christian is a good Christian." Most of his writings tell me that he was more concerned with winning numbers back to Christ because of all the people he murdered in his "former life," rather than learning what Jesus was all about and preaching the right message. This is very sad because his teachings became convenient--Christ on a silver platter, if you will, and most people will enter by the wide gate because the narrow gate is too much work.

The Essenes, Jesus' sect of Judaism, received the New Covenant from God in Damascus, Syria circa 100 BCE. Paul's interpretation of the New Covenant is not what the Damascus Scroll says. In other sections, we will discuss this important document, why Jesus allowed himself to be crucified, and what it really means to be the Messiah.

I will leave you with this thought: At least Jesus could choose to make a sacrifice, for whatever reason. Animals can't make that decision. We were given dominion over them by God. This is not the way to show our gratitude and good stewardship of the precious lives that were given into our care. If the sacrificial system isn't witchcraft, I don't know what is. At this writing, it is Halloween 2000. How appropriate. Thank you, Father, for this timely message.
