"Hear now, all you who enter the Covenant, and I will unstop your ears concerning the ways of the wicked. GOD LOVES KNOWLEDGE. WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING HE HAS SET BEFORE HIM, AND PRUDENCE AND KNOWLEDGE SERVE HIM." (The Damascus Document, Dead Sea Scrolls, Section II.)
How many times is the phrase "the ears to hear and the eyes to see" used in the New Testament? Although Paul is largely responsible for quite a bit of the mythology of modern-day Christianity (or Pauline Christianity), even he became frustrated with the slave mentality of his day after a while: "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those of us who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have exercised to discern both good and evil." (Hebrews, 5:12-14)
I believe that by the time he wrote the letter to the Hebrews, Paul, formerly Saul, was beginning to realize the damage he caused by trying to bring people to the mysteries through any route possible. Paul undoubtedly had a guilty conscience about his earlier persecution of the followers of Jesus, as a member of the Sanhedrin, the High Jewish Council. He was raised as a Pharisee, however, and it took Saul a long time to understand what the Essenes were all about. Unfortunately he took his "revelation" on the road before he really understood it. The apostles looked upon Paul as if he had lost his mind sometimes, and they wrote their responses to his fables in the Gnostic Gospels, which have been published in recent years and are in the usual bookstores in the religion section.
Continuing on in the Book of Hebrews, Paul says: "Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits."
There you have it, my friends, straight from Paul's own hand. He was telling the Hebrews to "give it up already" and get on with the business of living according to the truth. However, by that time, the damage was done. This issue is also addressed in the Gnostic Gospels, "too little, too late." The thread was then picked up by those who wanted political power, and the rest is history. It was a runaway train, and we are still feeling the repercussions 2,000 years later.
The term "slave mentality" simply means that there were (and still are) too many people who did not want to hear the truth." For most, it was much easier to believe in and worship a lie rather than support the man that Jesus really was." Others were and still are simply too lazy to do their own homework but instead wanted God and salvation handed to them as a complete package on a silver platter.
Jesus never asked anyone to start a religion named for him, nor was Jesus himself asking anyone to worship him.; His crucifixion is more than proof that as the Davidic king of his generation and religious sect, Jesus understood what servant-leadership really meant. He understood that a king's primary role is to be there for his people. So the responsibility of the perversion of Jesus' original work lays on both the shoulders of Paul and possibly Peter, and the various usurpers of the Church, starting with Constantine the Great down to Bishop Clement of Alexandria and beyond, to the actual receivers of the word themselves.
However, being gifted as a teacher myself, I do not seek to perpetuate lies just in order to make a "commission" in the Kingdom of Heaven. Yes, I know that Jesus sent his original twelve out on the Great Commission, but he didn't mean that any Christian (and the word didn't even exist in his day) was a good Christian, which is so prevalent throughout history. The term "Christian" was not even invented within Jesus' lifetime. The movement was called "The Way." I am positive that if Jesus knew what kind of evangelizing and missionary work was going on in the world today by people who supposedly have a personal relationship with him, and that others are being won over to God by lies instead of by the truth by these same evangelists, he would be turning over in his grave.
Harsh words, I know...but true. Think about this, my friends...those of us who have read the real Gospels and the Dead Sea Scrolls know that Jesus did not die on the cross, but instead was revived and later ascended to the priesthood of Melchizedek, the reward for his suffering. And yet, despite this fact, Christians who have swallowed the milk of the present-day Bible instead of the meat of the extra-Biblical texts will tell you that Jesus did away with the Jewish priesthood, that he decentralized everything and that we all have authority to approach the veil, the Holy of the Holies. We all know how Jesus responded to the Pharisees when they accused him of being satanic because he could cast out demons. Jesus said a house divided cannot stand....so why would he want the priesthood to be done away with if he had sought it all his life and was duly rewarded?
If this is true, then why did Paul mention Jesus' high priesthood according to the Order of Melchizdek so many times? (This is covered in more detail in the chapter "The Real Melchizedek." Why did Jesus want so much to be a Michael, a priest-king, after his cousin, John the Baptist, the Melchizedek, or Michael-Zadok of their generation, died without heirs? We know that Jesus was no hypocrite...one of his favorite words when he addressed the Pharisees. If Jesus was against the royal priesthood, why did he accept the position of Melchizedek after the crucifixion? When we look at these "Christian facts" against historical fact, we begin to see what having "the ears to hear and the eyes to see" really means. And then we can see that those who wanted the real control over the priesthood edited what Jesus said to make it appear that he meant for things to be otherwise than what he intended, because they wanted it for themselves.
I do believe that each and every person should have their own private relationship with God the Father. However, God is not up for grabs and neither is the priesthood, and even though I accept that Jesus was the final sacrifice and that the Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans because the Pharisees didn't get the hint, I still believe that the priesthood has a purpose until the Second Coming and the New Millenium of Peace. I believe that Jesus would agree with me on this point considering he himself was a Melchizedek and would not have become one if he did not believe in it. Yes, we were put here on this Earth to take care and minister to one another, but we were not all called to a "holy priesthood" as the Bible has been changed to say.
Only after you have truly done your homework will you then have "the ears to hear and the eyes to see." Only then will you be able to discern between the spirits of good and evil, and will be able to recognize which parts of the Bible were altered by Constantine and his cronies at the Council of Nicaea, and at other councils of the Catholic church, and which were left untouched. In the next section, I am going to discuss something called the "Pesher Technique," which is a style of symbolic writing that was popular in the old days for various reasons which will become clearer as we continue on.
