Horses

We have three horses. My mom lovs horses. I grew up with them and they are much loved.

Simba is my pony. I got him when I was 10ish... I dont ride anymore, simply because my interest has moved on,but he's still there! He's mainly a babystter for moom's hrse caboose, they're buddies. I used to ride hi but because I was very small, I couldn't really control him all that well. He's sweet pony, with a passion for food.

Caboose is my mom's horse. He's an Arabian. He very smart and sweet and is the most curiouse thing.... We've ad him for few years now. Mom got him awhile after her other horse died, turaba, who fell off a cliff.... pretty awful huh. But Caboose is a great horse and he's a mirror imge of her older horse Raff.

Raff is my om's oldest horse. He's almost 30. My mom did Tevis on him in 1983. They came in 11th place out of hundreds. He is very old, but he is so sweet, and old. He has the loveliest nicker in the world. He is in ove with the pigs and he still craves adventure into his old age.

We feed our hores a flake of hay each, twice a day. In the moring they get wheat hay and in the evenin they get alfalfa. It is my job to feed them at night. At night Caboose and Raff also get bran mashes which I make them. Bran mash is a mix if bran, water, apples/carrots, Glocosamine and vitamines. Simba and Caboose are fed together but Raff has his on stall and coral becayse since he's so old, he's at the bottom ofthe pecking order, and if he was in with them, he'd get no food and be harssed.

We cleam there stalls every week or so, whenever they get messy. They get their feet trimmed ever 6 weeks, and Caboose get new shoes also. Every year or so they have to get wormer and we give them bathes in the summer.
