NAME: Tina (not her actual picture)
NICKNAME: N/A
HOOKED-UP: 1985

NOTEWORTHY: I had just entered
my Sophmore year; Tina was in the
12th grade.  For any 10th grader to be
datin' a Senior was certainly something
that could be used to gain status with
your peers & classmates; maybe even
make ya seem like something more than
you actually were.  Not so for me.

I was just grateful to have a girlfriend.

At age 15, on the verge of turning 16, I'd not seen any "play" in quite some time.  So the mere idea of being able to suck face with a female--
any female--was often more attractive than the actual female, herself.  This became increasinlgy apparent to me as whatever initial attraction that was felt (primarily to the notion of just having a girlfriend) quickly faded; and I broke it off after we'd only been dating for one week.

I could have handled it better, true; but at Age 15, ya aren't as wise.  You don't have much style, haven't developed savvy, nor can you honestly claim to know anything in the way of "bailing out"
and saving hurt feelings.  People mistake such behavior as a guy merely "bein' a playa;" but most of the time, he doesn't know how to be honest... and might be afraid (perhaps of retribution?) to shoot straight, admit to having changed his mind and/or just not being interested anymore.  What was known is that I didn't like the thought of making a girl cry; and it was gut wrenching when she did so anyway.

I don't know what happened to Tina.  She eventually graduated (or so I'm assuming) and moved away; but not before she introduced me to other girls that were friends of hers.  And whom I would eventually date (thus began "
The Tina Chain"(TM)).  I saw her around campus often my Sophmore year; and she came back to School for visits with friends once or twice my Junior(?) year.

But I never saw her again after that.
