| NAME: Andrea NICKNAME: "Andi" HOOKED-UP: 1994 NOTEWORTHY: First, a little history before any details about this girl. TOBY & I became friends in early 1986, and were best friends by early '87. As of my writing o'this page, we've been best friends for more than half of our lives (at least two decades). In the course of that time, odd a fact as it may be, we managed to never date the same females. This particular girl was the lone exception to that fact. After joining Tonight's Menu in August 1992 (Saturday night's Rocky Horror cast of what was The South Bay GCC at that time), while I was preoccupied in my pursuit of Krys, TOBY discovered he had a fan in the audience. It turned out to be Andi; and soon as he could hook up with her, TOBY did exactly that. They lasted for a few months before breaking up, with their separation being on good terms, if memory serves. During our membership in Redondo Beach, she joined cast to become a Columbia (as pictured); and when that show shut down in early 1994, she became member of the West L.A. cast while TOBY & I found a home in Long Beach on Saturday nights--even as we continued performing in Montclair on Fridays. Fast forward a little to Spring 1994, and a visit that Andi made to Montclair one night. While the three of us were seated during the show, and in between my scenes as Criminologist, Andi started showing me unexpected attention that seemed like flirting at first. Once I started to reciprocate, things began heating up. I can't say exactly when she started to find me attractive, but it quickly became clear that her interest in me at this time was genuine. And perhaps the best part about it was that TOBY didn't mind. We could not get together frequently, once we hooked-up, because of the 35 miles of distance between us; she living down in South Bay while I was up in The SFV. Her joining our cast at Montclair's GCC was a big help, for it insured we'd see each other at least one night a week since it was otherwise difficult to hook up outside of the show. Between our work schedules and the college classes she had, it was a challenge to see one another; and of course, we had Saturday night performances at different RHPS shows. Nearing our two-month mark, we were hardly seeing each other at all. Seeing that it just wasn't working out, we agreed to end our relationship. Although no longer dating, an attraction still existed between us. At the time, there was little opportunity for us getting together and doing something...anything that qualifies as "dating." However, while at those shows in Montclair on Friday nights, lust often got the better of us--and we'd disappear in between scenes to steal a few heated moments backstage. Not being a couple anymore had freed us in a way we couldn't predict, which made things a bit more fun. Unfortunately, it couldn't go any farther than the theater; each of our lives were just too hectic at the time. By 1995, we were both gone from the Montclair show. While I entrenched myself with Midnight Insanity for the long haul, Andi continued with Sins o'The Flesh for a couple more years...eventually hanging up her costume, top hat & tap shoes to settle down and start her own family during the late 1990s. Finally reconnecting with her after being out of touch for a decade helped me to learn that she is a married, PTA mother o'three. It's certainly a full, busy life that I sincerely hope is as rewarding for her as it sounds. __________________________ |
