West Timor is a coral island of angular rock that makes agriculture difficult, although in the north there are some areas of deeper soil that are more fertile. Timor island looks different from the rest of Indonesia because it is dry, but its still certainly nice to see. Because the cultures are still very strong here,  in some parts of West Timor you can still see the 14 century lifestyles.

So let's check it out.

How to get there:

Air connections to Kupang from Darwin, Australia or all major cities in Indonesia.

Ferries from Flores, Rote, Sumba, Sabu and Alor.

Or Pelni ships: the Dobonsolo, Awu Sirimau and Willis from Bali and Sulawesi.
