MOM"s MAYONNAISE CAKE

2 cups flour
1 1/4 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons soda
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla

Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, and soda together. In separate bowl beat together
remaining ingredients. mix together. Pour in greased pans and bake at
350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Use whatever icing you like or none at all.

GRANDMOTHER's CHOPPED APPLE CAKE

4 cups chopped apples
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup nuts,
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs well beaten
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon or apple pie spices
1 teaspoon salt

Mix all together and bake at 375 for 1 hour. Removecake from pan before completely cool to a cake plate.
sift powered sugar over cake.

SPRING FLOWER CAKE

1 cup flaked Coconut
2 drops food coloring, any color
1 pkg. (10 oz.) store-bought prepared round angel food cake
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
3 cups halved strawberries

TOSS coconut with food coloring until evenly tinted; set aside.
PLACE cake on large serving plate. Frost top and side with whipped topping; sprinkle with coconut. Cut cake into 8 slices, leaving all slices in place. Carefully pull out cake slices and separate slightly to resemble the petals of an open flower.
SPOON 3 cups halved strawberries into center of "flower." Store leftover cake in refrigerator.
