JACKSONVILLE, FL.---
Katheleen Marie (Slayman)Robinson(neeFerkovich),59,

passed away on May 19th, 2006, at the Jacksonville Hospital in Jacksonville,Fla. after suffering a sudden illness.Her family was at her bedside when she was called home to be with the Lord.

  She was born on July 3rd,1946, to Frank and Marion Ferkovich of Copper City.She attended Calumet High School and graduated with the class of 1965.

She live in Jacksonville Fla. for may years, but moved to Kingsland Ga., five years ago.She always looked forward to coming hometo the U.P. to visit family and friends.She and her husband, Raymond, were married at the Houghton County Courthouse nearly five years  ago this coming July.

Kathy was a loving wife and beloved mother, daughter,sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; a daughter,Renee (Larry) Bollman; a son,Frank Slayman; six grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Kristina ,Kylle, Bryttney and ZakkaryBollman, Cindy and Steven Slayman; four sisters, Jean Paulson; Katherine (Richard) Gross; Carol Strang and Michelle (Larry) Russmusson; three brothers,Thomas (Diane) Ferkovich, Frank (Tina) Ferkovich and Craig Hand.

She had many friends here in the Houghton and Keweenaw area. She will be also missed my a special friend, Cheryl Rozman.

Kathleen was a very happy, loving and generous person.She has a beautiful smile and a great sence of humor.Her relationship with her familywas very important to her.She considered friendships a true gift of love.

If anyone ever needed help of any kind, Kathy was always there to help.She loved knowing she had made someone happy.She love to bake pastiesand cinnamon rlls to give to her family or friends. She had a heart of gold.

She had two wishes before she passed away. She wanted to be an organ donorand her liver and lungs have already been donated to recipients. she wanted to be crematedand have her ashes sprinkled on Lake Superior. This will be taken care of in the near future.

Private sevices were held in the hospital with her minister and family in attendance.
