Freedom of Religion Means Freedom for ALL Religions
Goddess Bless America
Why "Goddess" bless America? Because I'm a Pagan US citizen and I wept on September 11. Atheists wept on September 11. Hindus wept on September 11. Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Daoists, too. Feminists, liberals, gays, abortionists and environmentalist tree-huggers wept on September 11.

People from over 60 nations and from many religions died on September 11. Let's come together in true diversity and recognize that people of all faiths, not just Christian ones, are mourning.

There's an ugly undercurrent in this country now, even worse than it was right after 9/11, that if you're not a Christian, you're unpatriotic -- and also that if you don't support the President and his war, you're unpatriotic.

Let's grow up and recognize that people of all faiths, not just Christian ones, can be patriotic. And that we can support the troops yet oppose the war and the government.

March 28, 2003: Now that we have invaded Iraq, voices of dissent are more important than ever. If history repeats itself, the US will wake up soon and come out of this hateful period of xenophobia and jingoism. Meanwhile, light a candle for the innocent victims and hope that this conflict is over quickly.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All.
