Biography
Laurie Yost lives in Sandusky, Michigan with her husband, Brian and three children, Mitchell, Zachary, and Emily. She is a domestic engineer (better known to most as a stay at home mom) and works side by side with her husband, who is a youth pastor. She spends much of her time striving to bring her children up in the ways of the Lord, singing on her churches worship team, teaching adult Sunday School, and being involved in leadership of the local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group.
Although she gave her heart to the Lord at age 14, Laurie spent many years on a rollercoaster ride in her walk with Christ, floundering to know and understand what it meant to really live for Jesus Christ. Her personal growth in her relationship with the Lord has led her to work with different age groups of women; from mentoring and guiding teenage girls to become women of God to coming alongside grown women encouraging them in their walk with the Lord. Women's ministries continues to be a very important part of Laurie's life as she feels that every woman, no matter where they have been, or what they have done, are a work in progress; a work that the Lord very much wants to be a part of.
Her hearts passion is speaking to women, encouraging them and building them up as wives, mothers, and women of God. Laurie has been described by many as a speaker with great enthusiasm, with an upbeat attitude, a joyful spirit, an open and real personality, a song for everything, and a funny way to look at life. You will be challenged as Laurie uses stories and humor to bring you to the point of taking a glimpse into your true self. |
