Laurie River Lodge is a remote sport fishing lodge located in Northern Manitoba province, Canada. The lodge is located on McGavick Lake and the only way to reach the lodge is by a Pontoon plane flight from nearby Lynn Lake. Its actual location is approximately 320 miles south of the Arctic Circle, so the weather can be quite cold, even in the middle of Summer for the United States. This year is snowed one day in July.

We visited the lodge in early to mid August of 2004. This site provides pictures and a review of our travels.
