Over several cuppas Max shared with me some of his family history and the history of Bosworth Station. Even more helpful was his information on the geography of Bosworth and his pointers on finding my way around as we looked at my map together.
Thanks Max. I guess that's part of what is meant by "outback hospitality."
Ever since I read "The Adventures of ROBINSON CRUSOE", as a boy, I've wanted to camp on an island. As I planned this photography trip, studying maps and satellite images, it appeared likely that I'd find my style of wilderness landscape in the area of Andamooka Island on Lake Torrens, the island being a part of Bosworth Station. As you can readily see, I was not dissapointed and revelled in riding my ATV and walking around Andamooka Island and the adjacent mainland on Bosworth Station.
Fanning the creative passion within, the stark and varied landscape on Bosworth Station drove me to eating only two meals a day: brunch about noon and tea after dark.
