Then you and your partner will open up Powepoint and create a slideshow to show when a compass would be used back in Ancient China and nowadays. to insert pictures and Chinese
directions for your slideshow. You will recieve a + for completing the assignment or a - if you do not. To complete the task you must have 5 slides with facts on them.
Activity # 8 Silk Inspiration Web

Then you will use Inspiration to create a Web about silk. You can use any information you learned from any of the silk web sites, and you can add information you already know about silk. Remember when making a web, you need to have a topic, categories, and supporting details. The actual setup is up to you so long as you include facts about silk! You will be given an S+, S, or an S- depending upon the quality of your Web for relevant facts.
Final Project-- Create Your Own Invention
Now you will use the knowledge that you have learned on the many valuable inventions from the ancient Chinese and create your own invention. You will create EITHER a brochure detailing your new invention, or you will create the front page of a newspaper announcing your invention and present it. You will have access to a digital camera and scanner. When you are all done, and you will be sending your invention as part of an Invention Challenge.
