Their are two species of African antelope of the genus Tragelaphus. The greater kudu,
Tragelaphus strepsiceros is fawn colored with thin white vertical stripes, and stands
4.2 ft/1.3m at the shoulder, with head and body 8 ft/2.4m long. Males have long spiral
horns. The greater kudu is found in South Africa in bush country from Angola to Ethiopia.
The similar lesser kudu, Tragelaphus imberbis lives in East Africa and is 3 ft/1m at the shoulder.
