Angainor : The chain with wich Melkor/Morgoth was wrapped in the war of the Gods.Aule smithied the chain of six different metals (copper, silver, tin, lead, iron and gold). The metal he had blended of thise he called Tilkal. The colour of Tilkal was bright green or red in varying lights,it had all the properties of the six metals and several of its own.It was a substance of uttermost hardness, brightness and smoothness and only Aul could forge it.Of this metal he made a chain named Angainor the oppressor and manacles called Vorotemnar that binds forever and fetters named Ilterindi that might not be filed or cleft.Made between the Valian Years of the Trees 1500 - 2000.

Dark Throne : The throne of Morgoth in Angband, beneath which Beren hid during the Quest of the Silmaril.

Flets :
The wooden platforms built high up in the trees of Lothlrien in which the Galadhrim (Elves of Lrien) dwelt. The costum of dwelling high in the trees was not a general habit of the Galadhrim and its origin was meant as a refugee in the event of an attack or as outlook posts from where the land and its borders could be surveyed. In the days before the evil entered Dol Guldur it was not normal to live in the flets but as Lrien became a land of uneasy vigilance after the end of the first millenium it became more and more normal to build and live in the trees. In the time of Amroth his flet at Cerin Amroth was the highest point of the land and from the flet could Dol Guldur be watched across Anduin.Later in the reign of Galadriel and Celeborn the highest point was the top most flet in the great tree in Caras Galadhon where Celeborn had his abode and where Frodo and the fellowship met him and Galadriel. The first to turn a flet into a permanent dwelling was either Nimrodel or Amroth but most possible it was Nimrodel as it is told in her legend that " Amroth dwelt in the trees of Cerin Amroth because of his love for Nimrodel" Maybe it was from her he took the idea of living in the trees.

Illuin : The Silver lamp of Aule made,by request of Yavanna and filled with hallowed fire by Varda,in the North upon the tower Helkar which according to the first conception was made by Melkor made. That Melkor made the towers was soon to be abandoned. The lamp was created in the Days before Days the Valian Year 1500 to 1900,it was placed upon the tower in V.Y.1900 and destroyed by Melkor in V.Y.3450.

Key of Orthanc : The key or keys that granted entry to the otherwise impenetrable tower of Orthanc. They first enter history at the time of the Oath of Eorl, when that tower was sealed by the Gondorians and the key taken to Minas Tirith. At the request of Saruman, the nineteenth Ruling Steward of Gondor,Beren later surrendered the key to him and he took up his abode in the ancient Gondorian stronghold.

Lamps of the Valar : Illuin and Ormal, the two great lamps made by Aul to give light to the World in the ancient days when the Valar still dwelt in Almaren. They were overthrown and destroyed by Melkor.

Mirror of Galadriel : The magical silver basin of Galadriel. When filled with stream-water,the reflections from its enchanted surface would reveal things from distant places and times.

Ormal : The Golden lamp of Aule, made by request of Yavanna and filled with hallowed fire by Varda,in the South upon the tower Ringil which according to the first conception was made by Melkor. That Melkor made the towers was soon to be abandoned. The lamp was created in the Days before Days the Valian Year 1500 to 1900,it was placed upon the tower in V.Y.1900 and destroyed by Melkor in V.Y.3450.

Sceptre : The symbol of Kingship to the Nmenreans and their descendants.

Sceptre of Annminas : A silver rod, originally the symbol of office of the Lords of Andni in Nmenor. It survived the Downfall and was held by the Kings of Arnor while that realm lasted. After the division of the North-kingdom,it was handed down through the generations of the Kings of Arthedain and their descendants, the Chieftains of the Dnedain.

Thrrs Map : A map made by Thrr the King under the Mountain, after he had been exiled from his kingdom by the Dragon Smaug. As was traditional among the Dwarves,it was drawn with East at the top of the map, rather than North and showed the Lonely Mountain of Erebor, the Running River that flowed from it and the lands about. It also contained mention of a secret entrance to the Mountain, and (written in secret Moon-letters) instructions as to how it might be opened. In his old age,Thrr set out to wander the lands of Middle-earth but before departing he gave the heirlooms of his house to his son Thrin, including his Map.Years later,Thrin too set out into Middle-earth,seeking to recover Erebor himself and taking with him the Map to guide his way.He was captured in the Wild by the servants of Sauron but Sauron captured Thrin for the Ring of Power he bore and so overlooked the Map he carried too. This proved to be a serious oversight, because Gandalf secretly entered Sauron's lair at Dol Guldur while Thrin was a prisoner there and managed to escape with the Map and the key that opened the secret door.Using Thrr's Map,his grandson Thorin was able to lead a small group of Dwarves (and one Hobbit,a certain Bilbo Baggins) on his own quest to refound the ancient Dwarf-realm.Through many adventures, they were able to recover Erebor and bring about the destruction of Smaug, dealing Sauron a serious reverse.

Valarma : The great Horn of Orom. The Horn would be heard above all other horns, the sound was like the upgoing of the Sun or the sheer lightning cleaving the clouds.
