I'll admit that labeling these questions as "frequently-asked" is a bit misleading, but I'm sure some of these have crossed someone's mind before.
Q: Why so few photos updated to the site?
A: I hate to just take photos from sites, but I admittedly did to create "Soothing Sounds...". Many of the photos, in fact, came from Lauren's site. For this I am extremely grateful, especially to Lauren, who did not find a problem with me swiping a pic or two.
However, since then I don't feel as comfortable doing it. If I can buy a pic off of eBay or get one from a magazine, I'll be sure to post those . I do not, however, want to just take each and every photo that is posted on her site. Because of this, I will be sure to post when Lauren updates her page with new photos, and provide a link to the page so the reader can get to them quickly.
I may, at times, use a photo for a "Photo of the Month" or a graphic. There may come a time when I update with a photo from Lauren's site, but it won't be often.
Q: Are you Lauren Frost?
A: No, not by a long shot. I'm a guy. My name is Jon. Hello. Nice to meet you too.
Q: Should I send an e-mail to Lauren using your address?
A: No. I've had some people send e-mails, meant for Lauren, to me. I feel horrible getting these, because I know that some of you put a lot of effort into your fan-letters and you don't want that effort wasted. If you want to contact Lauren, she has her e-mail up on her Web site at Lauren Frost.com.
Q: Why no sounds? Why no movies?
A: The irony of the site's title is not lost on me. We have no music files or movie files. This is a free site, meaning that things such as the pop-ups, are out of my control. It also means that I have a very limited space to work with. If sometime in the future I decided to actually purchase the site, you may see more multimedia.
Why no videos? Same reason. Plus, I don't have the type of machinery to tape video clips on my computer. If I could I would.
Q: This site looks like it was made with Microsoft Paint.
A: That's because it was. I have no photoshop or site-maker program on my computer. I'm working with what I got. I've loved Warhol's printmaking works since forever, so I used that as inspiration.
