| I want to use this section of the website to explain a little about how it came about. As a cricket and Ben Hollioake fan, I was deeply saddened by the death of one of my heroes, who still continues to be a role-model for me, in fact even more so now. It has led me to consider more closely the real and rewarding purposes life holds for us and has given me the desire to live in a much more purposeful way. | ||||||||||||
| For me, as a Christian, this relates to the plans and purposes that God has for me to follow and fulfill. I am seeking to find out more about these purposes each day and learning so much as I do so. Books I have read including The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren and The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson have been a great help and inspiration in this and I have written about them in the 'Life' section of the website. | ||||||||||||
| I never want to forget Ben or the impact he has made on my life and hopefully, building and maintaining this website will help me and possibly others to consider just how fragile life is, and remind us to make the best of it. I hope that the website will be a lasting tribute to Ben Hollioake, as such a wonderful man truly deserves. | ||||||||||||
