Task Description
Megan, a graphics designer has been working with teens, one evening per
week.
Mary, a student from UCLA was another volunteer helping out in the CTC
and other youth activities.
Challenge
* Obtaining the necessary software, scanner and printer for the CTC
remains to be a major challenge.
* Maintaining and providing the necessary coverages of the CTC open hours
* Fixing and troubleshooting hardware and software problems without any
outside supports
* Implementing new and interesting activities for teens
Some of the above would be resolved when the 1/2 time Assistant is hired.
Accomplishments
* Submitted three grant applications:
Las Patronas -- Color Laser Printer and Computer workstation Carts
Adbobe Corporation -- Software for video production
Macromedia Inc. -- Software for animation and web design tools
* Attended grant writting workshops and grant briefing sessions
* Updated web site with information and works from computer classes
* Established a working relationship with Cal State Univ at San Marcos

* Helping youths with their homework assignments
* Video taping youths doing skateboarding and presentation
