Task Description
Megan, a graphics designer was the instructor for the Photoshop class.
Chris and Ed, two youth residents have assisted me in teaching the Power
Point class. Mary is another volunteer helping out in the CTC
Challenge
* Getting the students to the computer classes and retaining them
* Obtaining the necessary software, scanner and printer for the CTC
remains to be a major challenge.
* Maintaining and providing the necessary coverages of the CTC open hours
* Fixing and troubleshooting hardware and software problems without any
outside supports
Accomplishments
* More than 45 User IDs have been issued
* Photoshop, Power Point, Internet for Youth and Adult courses were
offered in August. All computer classes were completed, successfully
* Student projects were presented at an Open House and on CDs
* Free E-mail accounts (20 total) were created for residents
* Current web site was updated with the latest info
* Participated in the interviews of a half-time lab assistant
