A truly modern gown with an Irish flair. A fusion of the Irish Renaissance LEINE chemise (available from WJD) with a continuous princess gown, Elegantly Eire is a celebration of Irish culture and styling. Elegantly Eire features a drawstring, adjustable neckline that is low in front and high in back. The angel wing sleeves are directly from a leine pattern and are cartridge pleated to your wrists--about 6-12 inches of length is pleated in, depending on your interests.

True to Irish custom, we made our prototype of linen and gave the sleeves a contrasting color to more closely resemble an Irish Ren, layered look. For a more modern bridal effect, we suggest all one fabric with a lattice of looped frogs and cord on the sleeves, neckline, and waist (photo coming soon of the bride whose gown was done this way). Train options: cloak train clasped at the shoulders by metal cloak clasps or Chinese frogs available in sweep, chapel, cathedral, or royal lengths.

Suggested fabrics: cotton, linen, silk or polyester satin, doupioni silk, brocades.

Excellent for most builds. Straight/slight hourglass figures benefit from a belted look plus some underpinning breast enhancement. Inverted pear shapes benefit from drawstring scoop neckline with embellishment at neckline. Pear shape build benefits best if worn looser, unbelted. Overall, this gown can work for most proportions except the most extremes--about 85%-95% of all women.
