| Welcome to the barn page! We have worked really HARD completing this building, but it has definitely been worth it. When I first got back into raising rabbits, I had 25 cages under a canopy. But we knew eventually we'd have to get something more permanent. Especially when the canopy flipped over one time in a bad storm! | ||||||||||||||||||
| The barn itself measures 36' by 48' and has three sections. The stalls (there are two), the shop/garage that is open at the moment, and the rabbit section. Here is the barn during a recent Mini Lop specialty show. Click here to see more pics during the show :o) | ||||||||||||||||||

| The rabbit section runs along the west side of the building where there are lots of oaks for shade. The entire 48 feet on the west side is screened in for ventilation. | ||||||||||||||||||

| I now have 55 cages -- 22 brood doe cages along the east wall for optimal protection, and 33 buck/junior cages along the west wall. Actually because of the trees and the overhang from the barn, the bucks rarely get affected by the weather. Lights, fans, an automatic watering system, and a 'poop removal' system make this a very comfortable and clean place for the rabbits. | ||||||||||||||||||

| This last picture is of Sundance, my Tennessee walker, and my son Christian, who is now a big 5 years old! Sunny is my competative trail horse and he also pulls a cart! He is the neatest horse--very personable and SO much fun to ride. We love to take him out for Sunday 'drives' in the orange groves and down to a local lake where we've seen bald eagles. Sundance will pick and eat the oranges directly from the trees! | ||||||||||||||||||
