This experience has been surprisingly applicable to the field in which I am trying to succeed. Interacting with students K-12 in all different areas of Columbus has challenged me to learn how to adjust my approach depending on the population I am addressing.
Age, ethnicity, culture, household income, and many other factors affect what matters to each student. This is the same with any other individual in the world; They want their concerns and needs to be heard and considered, and tapping into that fact is a must. |
