| "The power of a Futura stone comes only from the King of Kings Himself. Every reader is blessed by Him, and taught to use his or her stone. Normally, readers are born, not chosen, but in your case, He has said I may teach as many as may need the skill. The owner of the stone is not always a reader, just the youngest of the host, but you needn't fret about that, for not only were you born a reader, but you have His blood coursing through your veins, which makes you the youngest of the host. You may not be an angel, but you are one with Him. That's what gives the right to the ownership of the stone." "You've got to be kidding me!" Lynn exclaimed. Dimitri shook his head. "No, I speak the truth, trust me. I must give you the stone. It is not only the hand of Fate that causes this, but also His hand." "Okay, I guess..." He took the stone up in his hand and Lynn saw the actual enormity of the stone. It covered the whole of Dimitri's palm and extended halway up his fingers. He reverently placed it in her hand and placed his hands on either side of hers. "May this stone belong to you and you alone," he said in a flat-toned voice. Lynn bent her head and intensely observed the stone. "One more question. What does it do?" she whispered. "It provides the reader a tap into His wisdom. No matter how they may try, evil ones could never use a Futura stone. You see, you need a clean body, mind and soul to use a Futura stone, none of which any evil one would have. Becuase you are directly connected with Him, though, I have no doubts that you will learn quickly, and be able to use a stone as efficiently as the Son Himself. However, He does not need such instruments, for he is the Holy One. He only gave the stone such powers so that His wisdom would be more widespread." "Wow." "Wow indeed. Those are the words that Jesus said when he was visited by the host for the first time." "How would you know what my ancestor said?" Lynn exclaimed, jumping up. "I was part of the orinional group that spoke to the Son." Lynn was stunned. Realization came over her in a wave, and she suddenly believed that the archangel was as old as he had said he was. Christ really had come again, through her. She shuddered at the thought of being related to the Messiah. She had also been given a stone with overwhelming power, and she was supposed to learn how to use it. "Well, Dimitri, I have a few things to ask Father, so go ahead and teach." Dimtri nodded his approval. "Just like your Father, just like Him," he said. "Let's get to work, then. Hand me the stone." Lynn did as she was told, and sat next to Dimitri, her eyes not missing a single detail of what he did. He sat cross-legged on the ground, and spead his tunic out to make a lap. There he gingerly placed the stone, intoning, "Oh Father in heaven, help me to understand Your thoughts." Bright colors flickered and danced across the surface of the stone. The flashed continuously, finally slowing down, then something resembling a smiling face in blue lingered. Dimitri turned to Lynn. "He said, 'Go ahead my son, I am very pleased with what you've done for me so far,' and then he smiled." "I thought that was a smile!" Lynn exclaimed. "But how can you trnaslate the other runes?" Dimitri was tempted to chide the young woman. "They aren't runes," he said poilitely. "They're thought colors. If I were a wizard, which I am not, I could show you the colors of your own thoughts!" "Wow." The archangel nodded again. A smile hovered about his pale face, and he said, "Only through time and experience can you translate the colors of thoughts. Of course, teh Father's thought are the most colorful, then the Son's then the Daughter's, yours. Do you follow?" "You're clear as crystal." |
