Teaching Philosophy

Upon the education of the people of this country the fate of this country depends.
   -- Benjamin Disraeli

It is no secret that our nation is becoming less safe and secure, especially after the events of 9/11.  I feel that the generations to come will be faced with a world full of conflict and turmoil.  However, I feel that the future generations will be able to deal with the circumstances if they are properly educated.  I feel that the goal of all educators in this day and age, should be to provide our students with the best possible education available.  I feel educators are also responsible for teaching students what it means to be responsible citizens in our every changing nation.  The knowledge we bring to our students needs to reach beyond the basics of math, science, history, and English; we need to provide our students with the knowledge and understanding of what it means to be mature citizens in the world today.   Knowledge is power, and power in the hands of responsible citizens will allow America to overcome opposition and to thrive in the years to come.  As educators, we have a responsibility to our nation to educate the future generations, and to prepare them for the world that lies ahead of them.  I feel that nothing could be more worthwhile than providing our future business men/women, parents, leaders, workers, with the knowledge they need to succeed and survive in an every changing world.
