Colour
Analysis
Colour
is probably the area of clothes selection that most of us ignore or
neglect. Often our attitude
to colour when clothes shopping is “If it fits and the price is right,
I can live with the colour”.
When
the face is surrounded by tones of colours that enliven the face’s
natural vitality,
its
ability to provoke immediate and positive responses is heightened.
You
probably own a few outfits that always provoke comments like “You
look great today!”
or “That
colour suits you!”
You will look good and feel great. Then again, you have probably
worn clothes that make you look pale and tired, even if it is a new
outfit and you paid a fortune for it. And what’s more,
you notice that you need to put more make-up on.
"Every
one must be aware that colour has a great influence on the appearance of
the complexion; and that different
complexions
require different colours to enhance or improve them.”
George
Ashdown Audsley “Colour in Harmony”.
Your
skin, hair and eyes react to the colours around them, absorbing colours
that match your undertone and reflecting colours that oppose it. Its why
some brides look great in white and others look better in ivory.
And it’s why you look great in some colours and completely washed out
in others.
That’s
the power of colour. It can make you or break you
