I have been offered a wide variety of opportunities during my time at D&E to experience new and crazy things in the wilderness. One event that, unfortunately, I was unable to take on was Woods Guide Training. This experience offers returning students the opportunity to lead the Freshmen Woods Orientation Program in the fall semester. They act as mentors and leaders to help new students transition into college life. While I haven't actually caught and cooked my own meal like Tim Powell (above left) on Woods Guide Training, I have had many opportunities to meet new people and experience nature in ways that have changed my life.
