| Feb 19 2005 New Entry Here 9 Feb 2005 Whew. Finished working yesterday. Now only thing I need to worry about is getting on my flight on time ;) It's a very strange feeling... My brain knows I'm leaving but I don't quite comprehend it. I do not compute. Couldn't really sleep last night although I took a sleeping pill... I guess I'm in such an overdrive at this moment, no pill is strong enough. Today I should get some results from my internal specialist... I had almost forgotten all about that already... Oh well, I'll let you know if anything was found....I should also finish up packing and money needs to be exchanged and and and.... 7PM WELL... The doctor called in the morning and all is well in Laura-land. When I come back we'll continue testing (giving blood samples, having MRI taken, wearing the BP machine again etc etc....). She was wonderful on the phone, she was so excited about my trip to Australia :-D Aaaaw, bless. I also exchanged some Euros to AUD and sheeeesh, those notes were so BRIGHT my eyeballs almost exploded. No wonder when I got all confused and almost went home... you know.... WRONG home.... as I moved out almost 2 weeks ago... HOW embarrassing was that, eh? I only realized I was actually going to the wrong direction after I had pretty much already reached my old front door. Seeee....??? I'm a mess! I've been packing for 5 hours today and my luggage weighs 30kg... shit.... that's 10kg too much! 6 Feb 2005 BOOHOHOHOHOOOO.... Had my farewell party last night. Teemu and Hanne had arranged it so nicely! First we went out to eat and then some of us ended up dancing the night away! I had a blast and I once again realized that I'm surrounded by amazing people. I felt so loved and appreciated it was from time to time difficult to hold back tears. A special shout out to Teemu and Hanne: I'd be so lost without you. I never knew people like you could exist. I'm so glad I've been blessed with such talented, beautiful and loving friends. Love you and thank you. And Tia, my little sister, I'm going to miss you so much hon! Thanks also for Fafa, Elisa, my sister Noora, my brother Antti, Sari, Petteri, mom, Merja, Mervi, Ilari, Annukka, Sanni, Anu, Sammy and Vippe for showing up and those who couldn't be there but wrote nice things to the "my friends" book. You made me feel very special. And THANK YOU Auntie I'm-fining-you-for-travelling-without-your-ticket. It was my first ever fine and hey, I DO have a valid ticket, I just didn't have it on me last night. I'll make it all alright again tomorrow, damn it. Pics from the party |
