CHAPTER FOUR
Part IV
Greeting the guests
Author: NarcissaDAvalon
Date: 02-23-03 14:57
Guillaume had led her down the stairs in silence, his mind obviously concentrating on the new guest and his companion. She hesitated for a moment as the approached the library, but he urged her on telling her softly and sweetly in a soft kiss that everything is okay. She needed to come into her skin as a kindred, and in order to do that, she would have to learn from the older kindred around her. Dahlia, who is now on leave with Belladonna, Guillaume, Violet and now the newest member of their home. She could feel is ancient ways even as they stood at a distance from him. There were things he knew...secrets....but she could not place a finger on what those secrets are.
Guillaume urged her into the room, even though she wanted to continue with Laura, she knew that would have to wait. As they entered, she saw Violet and Tricia in a strange silence sitting. Tricia looking relieved as her master and mistress re-enter the room. She gives Tricia a knowing look and a nod of her head indicating she move behind Violet. Tricia rises moving to a small chair at a reading table behind Violet, somewhat tucked into the shadows close to one of the tall bookshelves.. That is where Laura will sit as well when she comes down. At the same time, Briant brings in their newest guest and his companion, and she and Guillaume stay on their feet to greet him. Drakonic and Anna. He was Russian...quite a surprise. She stays tucked behind Guillaume's arm and partially behind his body as he offers Anna as a snack. She is not sure who should take ownership, but she is pretty sure Guillaume will be pleased to have her as a peace offering. Her emerald gaze moves up and down the man who is only focused on them. She decides to allow Guillaume or Violet the honor of greeting their guest first.
But yet....there is another....something not like them...and very very near. Briant goes to investigate.

First Impressions Mean A Lot
Author: Sir Guillaume FitzHenry
Date: 02-24-03 06:31
Narcissa and Guillaume enter the library scant moments before the first new guests arrive. They remain standing in the middle of the large chamber, facing the door, Narcissa's hands wrapping affectionately around Guillaume's right arm, as Briant enters and announces:
"Drakonic Sephonis, and...."
"Thank you," the vampire curtly dismisses Briant, thereby leaving the mortal woman with him anonymous. But then he inclines his head toward her and proclaims: "This is a snack, one of the likes you haven't tasted for a VERY long time."
Guillaume's eyes flash at these words, but his attention is not upon Drakonic's gift. As subtly as he can, Guillaume turns his head and, out of the corner of his eyes, examines the room's only other human occupant, Tricia. Although Guillaume cannot be entirely certain, it appears she did not notice Drakonic's telling reference to his companion's fate.
"Tricia," Guillaume says evenly. "The young lady appears a bit disheveled from her journey. Please take her to a vacant suite, draw her a bath, and find her a nice evening gown. Then hurry back here. There's a good girl."
After Tricia has led the somewhat baffled woman out of the room, Guillaume steps closer to the other vampire. He looks familiar... and the name... What was it? Almost two centuries ago, in the carnage outside Moscow.... But that can wait. There is something more urgent to which Guillaume must first attend.
Faster than mortal eyes can see, Guillaume leaps forward and slams Drakonic against the now closed door. While the other vampire is probably every bit as strong and fast as Guillaume, the older warrior has surprise and experience on his side, and pins Drakonic back. Guillaume's arm is immediately across Drakonic's throat, shutting his windpipe.
"FOOL!" Guillaume hisses into Drakonic's face. "Did you not smell the human girl in here, infused with our essence? How DARE you say anything that might reveal our true nature! What good will having that slave do me if she spends all her time cowering in some corner!"
Then as quickly as he was upon Drakonic, Guillaume pushes back, leaving the other vampire glaring at him across the floor.
"But now, tovarish," Guillaume smiles. "Let's put your little faux pas behind us. Come, the wyne Dahlia's collected is exquisite. Please join us in a toast."

No Strings Attached?
Author: Laura Anne von Hoeffner
Date: 02-24-03 12:55
Laura wakes from the dream with a start. She realizes that following the strenuous physical relief she had allowed herself in the bath, she must have immediately dozed off. For a moment, she fears that she has left Lady Narcissa waiting. But the myriad candles set around the large room have not visibly shortened, and the water is still very warm, so she knows she must not have slept more that a few minutes.
She climbs out of the tub, still tingling where she had caressed herself just before falling asleep. She picks up one of the huge, plush towels. Like everything else in the mansion, the towels are the epitome of hedonistic luxury. Her body trembles with physical pleasure as the thick soft terrycloth touches her sensitive skin, rekindling her longing for Lady Narcissa's company. Laura feels very lucky that Narcissa had decided to invite her to stay here.
As she starts to dry off, Laura reflects upon the strange dream she had in the tub. It was, after all, her dreams that had ultimately led her to this place, and the fulfillment she finds in the companionship of Ladies Narcissa and Violet. Laura has always taken dreams seriously. Her dreams often function as premonitions.
On the other hand, she knows that most dreams have no meaning. This one had seemed especially silly. She had danced through most of it quite pointlessly, and although she still feels a bit haunted by her odd appearance at the end of the dream, Laura decides it had absolutely no significance.
Without giving it a further thought, Laura goes to find a red dress to wear, just as Lady Narcissa had told her to do.

Unexpected Welcome
Author: Drakonic Sephonis
Date: 02-24-03 13:15
Drakonic watches Anna leave, and thinks to himself, wondering what the one before him has planned. As she leaves, his lost attention keeps him from notincing Guillame's movement. As he turns to face the others, he finds himself being attacked. In a movement faster than he had seen in a while, he is grabbed hold of, and pinned against the door. He is quite surprised, but knows better than to try anything. Unable to talk, he merely listens to what has to be said.
"FOOL! Did you not smell the human girl in here, infused with our essence? How DARE you say anything that might reveal our true nature! What good will having that slave do me if she spends all her time cowering in some corner!"
As suddenly as he was jumped, he is let go. Glaring at Guillame, Drakonic rubs his throat lightly where the arm had been. After a moment, he speaks.
"Please, forgive my error. It has been long time since I have been around other Kindred, even longer since I have been around any training slaves. I am not used to taking such.... precations. It is also something I vill take into consideration next time."
He nods at Guillame's willingness to let it go, and smiles partly, saying, "I appresiate it. A good drink vould take avay alot of ze pain the past decades has brought."

"Apology accepted," Guillaume tells Drakonic. "And appreciated, Sir. Thank you. We will speak no more then of this unpleasantness."
Guillaume returns to Narcissa's side.
"Rather than discord," Guillaume continues. "This is a night for good wyne, fine conversation and charming company. Speaking of that last, please allow me to introduce my Chylde, Narcissa D`Avalon; and the lovely lady on the divan is our friend, Violet LeBlanc."
Guillaume suddenly realizes that he had sent Tricia out of the room. "Narcissa, would you please be a dear and pour our guest some wyne?"

She stayed behind Guilluame until he left to reprimand the stranger. She stood behind a chair merely watching with a bit of a shocked expression. She was not used to really meeting other kindred and only remembered hospitality from her mortal ways. Of course, she had met Violet, Shen and Paysha, but really only spent quality time with Violet. Guillaume's reprimand took her by surprise, but then so did Drakonic's greeting when he announced his 'snack' for them. She merely stood there looking between both men, not sure what to say, until Drakonic apologized and all was forgotten. She pushed back a few fiery curls looking at the man beneath long tresses, her emerald gaze shadowed by her hair. She stayed behind Guillaume a bit as he re-joined her and offered the man a slight smile in greeting.
She could feel Drakonic's eyes piercing her, probing her mind searching her, perhaps more then made her feel comfortable. He knew she was a fledgling and she's pretty sure he smirked at that. His gaze also went to Violet in a respectful manner as he took in both their appearances. She moved her own gaze bewteen all again, and stepped away from Guillaume at his request to get their new visitor some wyne.
She took an ornate goblet, seemingly fitting for their new guest, and filled it cautiously with the red liquid. She took long strides across the room handing him the goblet and gesturing for him to join them in the room. She spoke quietly, as he seemed to unnerve her a bit. She wasn't sure why, perhaps she just wasn't used to another male besides Briant in the manor.
"Please, make yourself comfortable."

Intermission
Author: Aradia
Date: 02-25-03 16:12
As odd as it had been to find Asha kneeling on the kitchen floor, at the feet of Mat, her mentor -- or was it tormentor? -- Aradia finds what happens next totally surreal. Asha wordlessly rises as if sleepwalking, and walks right out the back door. Mat, usually the stern taskmistress, just sits wordlessly watching Asha leave.
Aradia takes the seat directly across the table from Mat. Mat looks straight through her. Aradia gets the impression that Mat is watching some drama well beyond the mansion's cold stone walls.

Drakonic hears Guillaume, and nods, his attention drawn to Narcissa. Lost in his own thoughts of remembrance, he is brought back to reality by Guillaume's mentioning her name. He nods to her, and looks over her quickly, seeing her as she is, and not the one he had seen only a few seconds before. Without his realizing it, he begins to explore her mind, the way he often did with humans. Upon realizing where the information about her past was coming from, he smiled to himself, realizing that it had been too long since such a thing was necessary. His amusement was immediately replaced by a feeling of guilt.
As Guillaume introduces Violet, he turns in her direction, all too happy to put aside the atrocious error he commited. He insured that he did not repeat the rudeness to Violet, merely flashing her a smile, and nodding.
He turns back to Guillaume as Narcissa fetches the wine. he smiles politely, and says, "I now know ze names of ze beauties zat accompany us, you even know my name. Is there a chance I vill learn yours?"
As Narcissa brings him the goblet, he smiles at her, saying, "Thank you Narcissa. You are too kind." He stills feels a bit embarrassed by his mental invasion of her, so he turns his attention back to Guillaume. As he waits for his response, he raises the goblet, taking a light sip of it's contents.

"Of course," Guillaume responds to Drakonic's request for his name. "Guillaume FitzHenry."
Guillaume moves to the couch where Violet sits and settles in on her left. He offers his lap to Narcissa, but his gaze remains on Drakonic. "But I thought that you might know me. I thought, perhaps, that we have met before. Just west of Moscow... During the Emperor's great retreat? I recall a Kindred, dressed as an officer of the Czar's Dragoons. I think the name he assumed was Lieutenant Dominik Stepanovich Andropov."

She made her way back to Guillaume noting his rather charming, yet relaxed mannerisms. As he joined them, she looked to Guillaume and smiled as he invited her back in his lap. As always, an invitation to his lap was welcomed, and as always, the invitation made her desire him for the moment. She sat on his lap crossing her long legs across his, acting in a ladylike manner as not to offend Violet or Drakonic. She knew Violet was open to their relationship, and new how passionate they were, but she did not know how Drakonic felt about any kind of public display. Perhaps he was just as liberal, or perhaps he was more conservative. She kissed Guillaume's cheek and moved her gaze back to Drakonic offering him a smile.
She was surprised when Guillaume spoke about Russia. She had no idea he was there before, but then again, there were many mysteries about Guillaume she would weed out in the future...after all, they had plenty of time.
But for now, she wanted to know more about Drakonic and why he was here. Did he come for the same purpose Guillaume had made her into kindred? Was he ready to enslave the mortal world? Perhaps he was here for the same reason Violet was...for companionship. She decided not to think to hard about it, after all, he did just walk through the door but moments ago. She wrapped one arm around Guillaume's shoulder and listened.

Sartorially Challenged
Author: Laura Anne von Hoeffner
Date: 02-26-03 13:49
Laura hunts through the large armoire in Lady Narcissa's boudoir until she finds a red velvet sleeveless gown. She then locates a lingerie drawer. As fresh, even new, as all the underwear seems, Laura simply cannot bring herself to wear someone else's panties. But she finds a luscious black slip -- it feels like genuine silk -- and pulls that on before putting on the dress.
Once dressed, Laura sits at Lady Narcissa's makeup table. She looks for a clip, or scrunchie, or even simple elastic bands to put her up as Narcissa requested. All she finds however are old-fashioned pins and elaborate combs. Laura clumsily tries several combinations and configurations. Knowing she is keeping Narcissa waiting, she begins to feel desperate. So she settles on a somewhat lopsided affair that she hopes has sufficient elegance to please Narcissa.
Suddenly very anxious to be back in Narcissa's company, Laura stands and, not wanting to take any more time, she forgoes the unlikely search for shoes that would fit her feet and match the dress, and pads barefoot out of the room and down the hall.

When Tricia hears Guillaume say ,"Tricia, The young lady appears a bit disheveled from her journey. Please take her to a vacant suite, draw her a bath, and find her a nice evening gown. Then hurry back here. There's a good girl." , She almost leaps to follow Sir Guillaume's orders. She leads the beautiful young lady out of the room and upstairs to the first vacant room she finds and walks into the bathroom and starting the water makes the temprature just right for a soothing bath. While the water is running, Tricia adds some fragrant bathsalts smelling of Jasmine. She then leads the young lady to the bathroom and assists her in undressing and helps her into the bath. pulling the hair up off the young lady's neck and deftly putting it up on top of her head with a comb and pins. Tricia then hands the young woman a fluffy washcloth and jasmine soap and quietly says,"Wash you will feel better. I will go and lay out a dress befitting a lady such as you are. I will give you a few minutes alone before I come in to assist you in getting out drying and dressing my lady." As Tricia leaves the bathroom she smiles, feeling very useful and hoping that in helping this young woman, she is pleasing both Sir Guillaume and Lady Narcissa." At the thought of her master and mistress though, the same tenseness enters her loins. She tries to ignore it as she picks out a lovely blue satin sleeveless dress with empire waist and deep flounces that are slit up the sides. She does not give in to the urge to touch herself as she has not been given permission yet this evening. Tricia then sits quietly in the chair by the door to the bathroom watching to see when the young lady seems finished and ready to rise from the bath. Tricia walks in at just the right moment holding a large thirsty towel, helps the young lady out of the tub and quickly and efficiently dries her. Leading the way out the door to the bed where the dress is lying , Tricia deftly drops the dress over the upraised arms of the lovely mysterious new guest and helps her into the matching satin flat slippers that seem to be made for the lovely lady's feet. Tricia just as deftly takes the comb and pins out of the young woman's hair and using just her fingers brings the hair to a soft bun at the back of her neck and securing it with pins pulls out a tendril by each ear. Tricia then smiles shyly and says,"Please wait here I will come for you when My lord and Lady send me to you again." Tricia then hurries back to the Library to advise that she has finished her mission and to inquire if the young lady needs to be escorted back down yet.

Lost Memories
Author: Drakonic Sephonis
Date: 02-27-03 08:20
Drakonic takes a seat in one of the empty chairs. Holding his wyne, he half smiles. It was true, of course. However, he was a little surprised that any remembered. As he watches Narcissa seat herself on Guillaume's lap, he smiles, not in the least surprised. He returns his focus back to Guillaume, having no problem with the seating arrangements.
"Ve may have met back then, however, I can not be completely sure. There vas an air of famliarity about you, but I must admit, I don't remember. It is true, of course. I vas Lieutenant Dominik Stepanovich Andropov, but zat vas ven I trusted neither humanity, nor Kindred. I vas lost. Zat is vy most of those days are forgotten to me. I do know, however, zat because I had no trust in either kind, I became vat I am now. Back zen, I did vat vas needed for my survival. I trusted none, and consequently, came to trust myself. I learned who I vas, and vat I wanted. After a few years as Dominik Andropov, I came to realize vat I vas, and vat humanity's place is. So, I quickly abandoned zat life, und reclaimed my heritage."
Drakonic takes a sip of his wyne, becoming slightly parched. He sets the goblet on the end table to his right, and continues.
"It vas after being Dominik that I accepted who I vas. As Dominik, I vould starve myself, refusing to feed on humanity, afraid of my birthright. However, I am not sure what, but something triggered a realization. That vas ven I realized my birthright, und had my first taste of vat ze Union had to offer. She vas nobility. Daughter of a duke, or something of ze sort. Ven her blood touched my lips, I understood vy things vere, as there vere. So, naturally, I killed Lieutenant Dominik Stepanovich Andropov, and Drakonic vas reborn."
He shakes his head, almost as if he had heard the story for the first time. It was a memory that had been long forgotten, but one he was glad to have. He wondered idly, giving time for his story to sink in, how many more of such memories he had.

Every one has memories

Violet smirked slightly at Drakonic's carelessness in front of Tricia. No, the two human women in Crimson Kiss did not know the true nature of those they had grown so attached too. Violet nodded slightly as Drakonic was introduced to her. "Good eve." she said softly.
She resists the urge to pull back in to the deep recesses of her memory, back in to the saddness of days before she came to this place, this haven. She brought a hand to toy with the small vial and crest ring on the chain around her neck. Then lowered her hand bringing her goblet of wyne to her lips to drink from the liquid.
She smiled as Guillaume seated himself next to her and then Narcissa settled herself into his lap. "Forgive me for being so quieit. My thoughts have a tendancy to wander in to places I would rather them not go." She sighed softly and shifted a bit in her seat.
Her eyes drift towards the door as Tricia enters. She wonderes where the lovely Laura is, and if her essence has taken hold of the sweet young woman. Also, if she has finally accepted who and what she is. She kept her questions silent, as well as her thoughts shielded among those in the room with her. Her trust has not fully been gained for the newcomer, there for she would not let him become as close as she has allowed Narcissa and Guillaume.

Rushing Encounters

On her way to join Lady Narcissa, Laura encounters Tricia at the top of the stairs. She smiles upon seeing her friend, who, like Laura, is incongruously barefoot in her elegant dress. Then Laura frowns, remembering that Tricia had been sent to attend to Lord Guillaume and Lady Violet in the library.
"Is Lady Narcissa still in the library?" Laura's voice shows her panic. Had she taken too long bathing and dressing?
"Yes," Tricia responds. Her beaming face reflects Laura's resurgent smile. Tricia explains. "There are new guests in the manor: a man and his lady. I think they're Russian. Lord Guillaume entrusted me with providing the lady with a bath and new gown. She seems very refined and sophisticated, like a princess."
That makes sense to Laura. She remembers a rumor, although she cannot recall where she heard it, that Lady Narcissa was herself a princess... an American turned princess, like Grace Kelly. But Narcissa had denied that. Still, Lord Guillaume was definitely part of the European aristocracy, so Lady Narcissa must certainly travel in such circles.
"Excuse me," Tricia interrupts Laura's reverie. "I must return to the library. Lord Guillaume told me to hurry back." She skips down the stairs, leaving Laura behind.
Laura follows, and enters the library a few moments after Tricia. Laura hardly notices the pale stranger seated near the fire. Her eyes immediately find Lady Narcissa, seated in Lord Guillaume's lap on the couch next to Lady Violet.
Laura's breath quickens. Seeing the two ladies brings to mind the ecstasies she had enjoyed with each of them during the past twenty-four hours. The sublime pleasure of Violet's gentle caress, and the crushing rapture of Narcissa's unrelenting hand, had each in their own way lifted Laura to heights of sensual fulfillment she had previously never imagined possible....
Suddenly blushing, Laura drops her gaze to the floor.

Guillaume nods thoughtfully as Drakonic tells his tale. But, secretly, Guillaume recognizes his own automatic response is not a gesture of total agreement. There was much more to the story, Guillaume feels certain. The "Dominik Stepanovich" Guillaume remembers hardly seemed a lost soul. And a century had intervened between Napoleon's failure at Moscow and the downfall of the Czars which brought the rise of the Soviet state Drakonic apparently still cherishes.
Before Guillaume decides how to respond, Tricia and Laura enter the library. Guillaume shakes his head slightly and chuckles softly. While Tricia has obviously completely adjusted to her new servile life, Laura remains the epitome of reluctant humiliation, blushing and unable to face them. It is little wonder that Narcissa has needed to discipline her.
"Tricia," Guillaume says lowly. "Our guest, it seems, is quite thirsty from his travels. Be a good girl and refill his glass."
Guillaume will leave it to Narcissa to decide how best to deal with Laura, her recalcitrant slave.

Tricia slides across the floor effortlessly, her soul filled with pride that she can be of use to her Master. She takes the carafe of"wine" and as she approaches the new guest lowers her eyes and refills the glass with a slight, respectful bow. Tricia's heart sings being able to be of service and not be banished from the Master's and Mistresses presence. She can only hope that Laura learns soon how to behave so that she can stay too. Funny thing is Tricia is starting to forget her life before meeting Sir Guillaume and Lady Narcissa, except for Laura being her friend. And Tricia does not mind..........

She looks over to the doorway as both girls enter. She smiles softly seeing that Tricia seems to have the bathing situation under control and Laura is dress how she was instructed to dress. The scratches on her neck are still visible to those who might take notice and that is why she wanted Laura to put her hair up this evening. She places a light kiss on Guillaume's cheek to let him continue the conversation and rises from his lap to retrieve the girls. Tricia steadily makes her way to the carafe upon Guillaume's orders and she goes straight to Laura, taking her softly by the hand and leading her to the fireplace where they all gather. She waits for a lull in the conversation before introducing them to Drakonic. She is not sure why she is introducing them, after all, they are mere slaves, but it just seems the proper thing to do so he can get to know names.
"Sir Drakonic, this is Tricia and Laura. They are....our friends."
She gives Drakonic a knowing look and he does in return. A spark of curiousity spurs in her mind though, tinged with a cruel streak and she looks to Laura who now stands before him and Tricia, who stands at his side. She slips back away from both, leaving them in the middle of the room so he might enjoy their beauty.
"Laura, Tricia, I want you to kneel at Sir Drakonic's feet and cater to his needs. Keep his glass filled and his body comfortable."
She goes back to Guillaume's chair to watch and test their newly broken slaves to see how they will react to the new guest in the house.
"Please Drakonic, allow these lovely ladies to see to your well being tonight."
She smiles thinking about what Drakonic would do with them, and should he wish it, she would grant him a night with them in his bed. She was quite certain that both would benefit from the touch of a man for the night, should he so desire the touch of two women in return.

Tricia immediately moves to get the carafe and kneels at Sir Drakonic's feet just to the right side where he is holding his glass of wine, head bowed watching his every move to make sure that he is comfortable and his glass stays filled. Tricia wonders how Laura will react to the command of Lady Narcissa, knowing that Laura still has not quite taken to her new place in the world. Tricia decides that whatever is requested of her she will do, even if that means serving Sir Drakonic in ways other than she is doing now. She would do what she was ordered to do. If her Lord and Lady ask her to serve in more tangible sensual ways she will comply... in Tricia's mind serving her Lord and Lady means serving their friends.....Laura would do well to remember that herself. Tricia plans on telling Laura just that when next they are alone. With that thought, She sees that Sir Drakonic's glass needs refilling and does so without even disturbing the glass. Her waitress training pays off yet again.

RE: CHAPTER 4: Broadening Horizons
Author: Union Wise
Date: 03-02-03 07:58
The radio was turned up, and the windows down, as Union followed the curved road. He was lost in thought, retracing his past, seeing now what he had failed to do before. He studied the serial killer, his patterns, the way he mutilated the bodiesfed on the bodies. Prints were out of the question, never finding a single one at any of the crime scenes. DNA test showed animal fluids within the open wounds. animals?
However, something Union could not recall was the last moments when he had finally cornered the slayer of children, and young women. The alley was dark, his flesh sweaty as he raced after the shadow that seemed to stay just beyond his sight. He could remember leaping over a six foot chain-link fence. Looking back he brushed it off as an adrenaline rush, nothing more. He could recall the very scent of the thing he stalkedstalked?
He became angry during that pursuit. His vision had blurred, and lost its ability to capture the color of things. His mind then went blank, until he found himself standing over the dismembered corpse of the suspect. He was found there, drenched in the mans blood. His own hands sticky with the human fluid, as was his face and chest. Only the autopsy saved him from prison. The results told the grand jury it was an animal, a large dog, which took the suspects life. Yet his department made sure that he was let go. Silently they pushed him under the carpet, and forgot he existed, refusing to allow him back to work.
Changing the station, Union rubbed his tired eyes, and tried to focus on the dark roadway. Then he sensed, no smelled something on the air. Slowly he applied pressure on the brakes, bringing the 1989 I-Rock to a stop on the grassy edge of the roadway. The engine ceased to make its exhaust sounds when he turned the key to off. His keen ears, listened to the sounds of the land, focusing on the minor changes within the wind. Silence engulfed himnot a single sound came from the land, it was as if it were dead save for the trees.
Stepping from the vehicle, Union closed the door, then thought better of it, entered the I-Rock again, and retrieved his Glock 19 from beneath the driver seat. Placing it in the back of his waistband, he then pulled on his jean jacket.
Following his instincts, Wise crossed the ditch and leaped over the barbwire fence with a grace unknown to most humans. The wind greeted him as he walked through the forest of hardwoods. It teased his senses, almost begging him to continue his trek. Looking back, he found that he could no longer see his vehicle, but the wind brought to his nostrils a smell unknown to his memory. It was sweet, causing a craving within his soul that had been haunted by death for months now. The craving cast away his dark thoughts, and enticed him further.
He was not sure how long he had walked, nor did he really care, the wind kept him interested, so he continued. Suddenly, through the twisted limbs protruding from ancient trunks, he could make out the shape of a structure.
Where the hell am I he thought, pushing his way clear of the vines and brush to stand facing the large Manor. Deep within his soul called out a warning, one that he refused to listen to as his feet carried him closer. He had not noticed that he had begun to sweat, but the trickle ran its course down his temple, onto his cheek. Wiping it away, Union Wise stepped onto the mighty porch, expecting any moment to be challenged by some dog, or an owner wondering whom stalked upon his grounds. When none came, Union clenched his fists and stared at the doors. Without a thought he raised his hand and gave a knock.

Self Interrogation
Author: Drakonic Sephonis
Date: 03-02-03 13:27
After finishing the story he sat back into the chair. After a half second, his confidence faded, as he realized the truth of his story. It was bullshit. He had told the story without thinking, and now that he had a chance to rethink it, he wondered why.
The answer came instantly. He was being cautious, but why? Was it because he had only given the name Dominik Andropov to select few. Those that he felt posed a possible threat, or to dignitaries. In either case, he felt a need for them to see a more prestigious side of himself. The fact that Guillaume knew the name was a little unformtable. He really couldn't remember him, so he couldn't remember the reason he gave him that name.
Or could it have been the other company. The truth of his life was far worse then one could imagine. The atrocities that he had a hand in would surely disturb one that was not expecting it. Narcissa looked like she would be able to take it, and from what he had learned from her mind, he had few doubts she could. However, the one in the corner, he was not so sure about. How would she have reacted if he had told?
Whatever the reason, it was too late now. It had already been said, and now, he could the slaves standing in the doorway. Remembering his earlier folly, he simply smiled, and set it aside for another time.
As Narcissa introduced the her servants, he smiled to himself, already knowing why. Taking the brief opportunity he had, he opened the minds of the servants to his, and read through them, in much the same way, a scholar would through a book. Tricia, the one that had just refilled his glass, he reminded himself, was quite happy with her position. However, the other was still a little reluctant. He smiled at this. Although the first was broke, and very obedient, the second would be able to provide entertainment. When he first saw them, he had no anticipation of sleeping with either, and although he had no plans to do so with Tricia, he wasn't so sure of Laura. He would have to see how she responded to his treatment. He didn't like the idea of bedding with humans, but at the moment, amusement took precedence.
After a moment, he takes another sip of his wyne. He sets it on the side table, and lets Tricia refill the goblet. After her doing so, he leans forward slightly, and motions for Laura as though he wanted to tell her a secret.

A New Test
Author: Sir Guillaume FitzHenry
Date: 03-03-03 06:34
Laura belongs to Narcissa. Guillaume believes Narcissa may do with the girl anything she wishes. She had already shared Laura with the Vampiress Violet, and even gone so far as to let Violet sip from her, the effects of which should prove quite interesting. While it surprises Guillaume that Narcissa would share Laura with a Vampire, Guillaume has no reason nor inclination to object.
But Tricia is Narcissa and Guillaume's common property. It annoys Guillaume that Narcissa would offer Tricia's services to another without first consulting him. On the other hand, Guillaume realizes that had she asked, he almost certainly would have agreed with the idea, so he makes no further issue of it. Surely, their new guest knows better than to sip from another Kindred's slaves, so no harm will be done.
Guillaume would certainly NOT allow Drakonic to sip from Tricia, and introduce his essence into the girl. And while Guillaume has no say in regard to Laura, he would recommend against it with her, too. Infusing an ordinary woman with the essence of three Vampiresses, but no Vampire, has proven to be a most fascinating experiment. Guillaume would like to observe it to its fruition.
Indeed, with Laura's entire being -- emotional, physical and sexual -- now focused exclusively on the Vampiresses, sending her to Drakonic's bed, but NOT letting him sip from her, would add a most fascinating variable to the experiment.
Guillaume examines his guest. At first, Drakonic hardly acknowledges the two human women kneeling before him. Then, he leans forward and beckons Laura, as if to whisper in her ear.
Guillaume grins. He may learn a lot about human nature from this. And, more importantly, even more about the character of the Vampire Drakonic Sephonis.

The wind blows many ways

She was pleased when Drakonic motioned for Laura to come forward, but paid little attention to Tricia. She could see a look of relief on Tricia's face and confusion on Laura's as she was literally handed over to a stranger. She enjoyed this game with her slaves...having them do her bidding, letting strangers have their way with them, but most of all having the strength to be the puppet master. She again sat in Guillaume's lap, this time a bit more relaxed and anxious to see what Drakonic does with her. Guillaume in the meantime was looking a bit perplexed and perhaps a bit annoyed that she would give him both of their slaves, but seemed more relieved when he rejected Tricia and summoned forth Laura. Tricia was his property as well and she knew that. She leaned back against his chest and tilted her head back whispering in his ear.
"Drakonic brought us a gift, so why not give him one in return?"
She smiled wickedly and he placed his hands on her thighs as she relaxed in his seat. Any touch from him would immediately arouse her libido and she could feel herself yearning to be satisfied. But it would have to wait as all of them heard another knock at the door.
Briant went to the door and opened it looking at Union as if he was just off the street. They could all sense something terribly different about their newest arrival, something dangerous. Briant spoke to the man in an uppity tone. 'May I help you sir?'
Meanwhile, back in the library, she wrapped her arms up over her head and around Guillaume's neck again whispering in his ear.
"So much excitement in one night my love, I can't wait for you to get me alone tonight."
She laughed softly as he did, and he placed a soft kiss on her cheek. He gave her a look knowing that would happen later, but first, there seemed much to attend to. She could sense so many different thoughts of his right now as he was still trying to figure out Drakonic.

A cold feeling
Author: Union Wise
Date: 03-03-03 11:35
Union took a step back when the door opened to reveal a man who by the mere undertones of his voice made the hair on the back of Union's neck rise. He took a moment to compose himself again, shaking off the feelings of terror that had swept into his veins. An inter voice warned not to tread here, yet desire screamed even louder.
"I am slightly lost, and in need of a place to stay for the night." He stated, his voice calm, unlike his heart which beat quickly with anticipation. Anticipation of what, he was not sure, nor at the moment did he care. All he knew, was something about this place set his blood on fire, it called to him, pulling from the depths of his soul feelings and wants that he had never known before.
His senses were in overdrive, as a smile seemed to flicker at the edges of the mans lips. Stepping aside, he motioned Union in. The smell of the place was old, almost ancient. Or was it the place in which he placed his feet, and not something else?
His hearing picked up the sounds of hearts beating, like drums. So intense the moment was, he covered his ears, and then it faded quickly. Was it his heart that was overriding his hearing, or the hearts of others? He was not sure. Lowering his hands, he gave the man at the door a confused look, then turned back to glare into the interior of the structure. The same smell that was upon the wind, also resided, within the fabrics of the Manor.
The place was cold, a bone numbing chill that seeped into one no matter the amount of clothing they wore. He hide the want to shiver, and smiled instead. "Lovely homeMy thanks for your kindness, I am Union Wise." He stated, extending his hand to the other.

An Interesting New Arrival
Author: Violet LeBlanc
Date: 03-03-03 12:22
Violet had long since almost completely tuned out those in the room with her. Again her thoughts had consumed her, her want and need for another to be as close to her as Lex had been. She saw what she wanted in every movement of Narcissa and Guillaume and part of her was comforted though part of her was desperate to have that touch, that love again.
She was pulled from her thoughts at the feel of another guest arriving here at the Kiss. She turned her gaze to the door of the library as Briant ushered in their newest arrival. A brow rose slightly as she let her gaze trail across the man's form. He was attractive, but there was something unsettling, something dangerous about him. Something that caused a slight flare of desire flicker through Violet's form.
She shifted a bit in her seat, allowing her to get a slightly better view of the new arrival. Another flare of desire, want, need, hunger flashed through her form. Though she kept her thoughts hidden from the others, she secretly thought what it would be like to be in the arms of this stranger. It had never been like her to think of bedding a man she had just met, or just laid eyes on for that matter, other than for the sake of feeding the beast of hunger that rose with in her so very often. Though, this was not for the animalistic need of feeding that beast, it was for simply feeding the beast of passion, pleasure and lust.
She rose from her seat and slowly moved toward the arrival. Curious as to what has brought him here. All that come here have been called here for some reason or another, what ever that reason, it will be made known sooner or later. Though the attractive yet curious vampiress, hopes that this man's reason is known sooner rather than later.
"Welcome to Crimson Kiss." she says and offers her hand to the gentleman, and smiles, careful not to let her delicate yet deadly fangs show.

Tentative Compliance
Author: Laura Anne von Hoeffner
Date: 03-03-03 13:28
Laura's gaze remains focused on the cold oak floor between her bare feet, when she hears Lord Guillaume's voice.
"Tricia... our guest, it seems, is quite thirsty from his travels. Be a good girl and refill his glass."
Laura's friend moves immediately to comply. Laura stands in place, not moving until Lady Narcissa takes her hand and leads her to stand before the fireplace, facing the assembled residents and guests of the manor. Lady Narcissa stands in the middle, holding hands with Laura on her right and Tricia on her left.
"Sir Drakonic," Lady Narcissa addresses the new guest, whom Laura has not seen before. "This is Tricia and Laura. They are... our friends." After an evening of humiliating torment, having Narcissa introduce her as a "friend" lifts Laura's spirits. She is able to raise her head and face the stranger with dignity.
Thus, the blow is all the more devastating when Lady Narcissa releases their hands and steps back to give them new instructions.
"Laura, Tricia, I want you to kneel at Sir Drakonic's feet and cater to his needs. Keep his glass filled and his body comfortable."
Tricia again obeys without hesitation. Laura watches in dismay as Tricia steps forward and drops to her knees at Sir Drakonic's right hand, and tops off his goblet from the carafe she holds.
"Please Drakonic," Lady Narcissa continues as she settles back into Lord Guillaume's lap. "Allow these lovely ladies to see to your well being tonight."
Laura is uncomfortably aware of the several sets of eyes watching to see how she will respond. Her first instinct is to run. But she knows that this would displease Lady Narcissa, and possibly Lady Violet, as well. She knows that they, together with Lord Guillaume, enjoy some extravagant and libertine sexual games, which obviously involve acts of submission. As much as these activities sometimes shock Laura, the ecstacy she has tasted when surrendering to Narcissa and Violet is not something she is not now willing to risk forfeiting.
If letting them watch her kneel before a stranger will please them, and keep this dangerous but enticing adventure going, Laura can bring herself to do it. As for the other activities implicit in Narcissa's suggestion... Laura hopes it will not come to that, but if it does, she figures she can deal with it. She will simply tell the gentleman that while she was willing to play along with Lady Narcissa's games to please her friends, she chooses for herself with whom she shares a bed. Since starting college, Laura has deflected the advances of her share of drunk and horny fraternity boys. She is confident she will have no difficulty convincing this obviously sophisticated man that "no means no."
So, taking a deep breath, and again unable to meet anyone's gaze, Laura steps forward and kneels in front of Sir Drakonic's left foot.
Laura glances over at Tricia, looking for some emotional support, but her friend is intent on the man, apparently awaiting his command.
Laura can see the exhaustion in Tricia's eyes, after the many adventures of the past few nights. Yet, Laura also notices the obvious fulfillment the other woman finds in being of service to this man. Laura almost envies Tricia her serenity, but Laura believes (quite mistakenly) that there is no force in the world that could make her so subservient, especially to a man she only just met.
In fact. Laura assumes that their respective demeanors will mean that Sir Drakonic's attention will focus on Tricia, not herself. Thus, Laura is somewhat surprised when Drakonic leans forward slightly, and beckons to Laura, as though he wants to tell her a secret. Laura moves toward him and tilts her right ear toward his lips.

Such a lovely place
Author: Union Wise
Date: 03-03-03 13:49
In one moment Union forgot the man who allowed him entry, as his attention turned to the woman that had approached. Her slender body pulled at his cravings, which summoned from within his depths a beast-like yearning. Images of him taking her from behind flashed, and he quickly took hold of his thoughts, knowing that he would rather be facing one with such beauty when such a time came, if it ever did.
what the hell am I thinking he lectured himself, as he took her hand, feeling the coolness of it, that was quickly forgotten when his blood felt like it was boiling. Was he running a fever? So sick that he was dreaming this?
He cared not, as his desire raged like a caged animal. Remaining calm on his exterior, Union fought an inter battle against the feeling of change within his soul. "The Crimson Kiss? A lovely name, much like many other things here." He told her, giving her an obvious stare that took in her entire body, from her feet to her waist lingering on her breast, to end with a hungry smile as he looked into her eyes.
"Union Wise, it is a pleasure." He stated, not understanding his own lust, or why he was behaving in this manner. If not for his sense of honor, the same morals that kept him apart from the scum that he had placed behind bars when working homicide in the department, he would had taken the woman right then and there, no matter the consequences. Instead, he controlled the creature that lurked just behind his flesh, afraid to allow it into the world. "And you are?"

A Hint of Things to Come

"So much excitement in one night my love," the Vampiress Narcissa whispers in Guillaume's ear. "I can't wait for you to get me alone tonight."
The Vampire growls seductively as she kisses his cheek.
"Indeed," Guillaume replies, just as softly. "There are many lessons to be learned this evening, both here among our guests, and later, in private."
His left hand runs up the length of her thigh, then around her hip to slip hidden between their bodies and the arm of the couch. There, unseen by the others, he begins to sensually caress, through the thin fabric of her gown, the erogenous flesh of her firm, smooth, bottom.

Taking in the scenery

She looked over as Union arrived, but was quickly distracted as Guillaume's hands went beneath her skirt unseen to the others. She smiled devilishly as she watched Violet approach the man who Briant had just brought into the room. She seemed to keep him occupied and figured they would have a chance to be aquainted later. She looked at Drakonic who seemed to be occupied with Laura and then to Tricia who stood there waiting for more instructions or watching to see if Drakonic needed his glass refilled. She lifted herself from Guillaume's lap and smiled down to him not sure if he wished to continue his conversation with Drakonic or not.
"I'm going to go watch the news in the other room. I need to catch up on the outside world a bit. Feel free to join me if you want love."
She gave him a knowing look with a raised brow, one he recognized so easily from her. She did want to watch some news on the crappy little t.v., but she was hoping for a spot of quick relief from her lovers able fingers as well. She tugged her skirt down and looked around.
"I'll be back in a few. I'm just going to go catch the news."
With that, she slipped out of the room and into a very small study, one she had found before she was turned kindred, and turned on the small black and white t.v. It was just past 11pm, and she flipped on the news.
......'Police are still trying to find 3 men who are missing from last night. Their motorcycles were found abandonded at a local motel, but they have not been found. The search has been suspended for the night, but investigators will return to the wooded area tomorrow to look for more clues.....Now for the weather...'
She chuckled at the report wishing she could have seen earlier reports on it, knowing damn well what happened to them. She wonders if the police will find their knawed bones in the woods or not. She sits in the rickety old chair and props her booted feet up on the table continuing to watch the old television. She shakes her head and looks around.
"This place needs a new t.v...a big screen..in color with cable. I swear, Dahlia needs to catch up on her technology around here."

Games Russians Play

He smiled to himself as she leaned towards him. He reached his right hand up to her face, grasping her chin in his hand firmly, and turning her ear more toward his lips. Softly, he whispers, "Do not fear child, I mean you know harm."
In his head, he chuckled to himself. Hearing the words, he didn't believe himself, but he wondered if she did. Whether or not she believed him, one things was certain. By the dawn of the next day, her world would be shaken.
As he pulled back, and let her face go, he stroked her cheek, like that a lover would who has been without the companionship of his love for years. He closed his eyes, making it appear genuine, however, the reason for doing this was to squelch the sickness that was beginning to course through him.
Slowly he dropped his hand to his lap, and opened his eyes slowly. He looked up at Laura to see what her response would be, but was diverted by the announce of the newest arrival. His eyes swept the form of the man. There was something about this newcomer that had the feel of the old world, but he was definitely not from the old world. Something in Union's eyes told Drakonic that there was something different about him, something that separated him from humanity, but also from the Kindred. That was probably while he was here.
Drakonic was taken a bit surprised by Violet's welcome, having thought that she was a bit of a loner. He half smiled, and shook his head. As Narcissa made her unexpected exit, he chuckled. There were many surprises ahead for him, and he hoped that he would be able to return the favor.
Looking back up to Laura, he asks her softly, "Vould you please take a seat? I am rather enjoying your company."

Parting Gesture
Author: Sir Guillaume FitzHenry
Date: 03-05-03 06:37
Guillaume sips his wyne, then nods to himself, content with the course of the evening. Narcissa has shown true brilliance by lending their servants to Drakonic for the night. Such generosity builds loyal alliances.
Drakonic certainly appears to appreciate the gesture. He shows a definite preference for Laura, but still keeps Tricia at hand, a dedicated cup bearer. Drakonic surely understands the proper role of mortals in this world.
Meanwhile, Violet has taken it upon herself to welcome the newest guest. He is not Kindred, so of little interest to Guillaume. Interestingly, Guillaume notes with his keen predatory senses, he is not human either, but one of the other ancient offshoots of humanity. Guillaume will leave him to Violet, with little doubt that she can handle him.
Quite happy to be excluded from the conversations around him, Guillaume stands.
"If you will excuse me, I will go and join Narcissa," he says to everyone. Then he turns specifically to Drakonic. "And I have no doubt you are tired from your journey, tovarish. If you care to turn in early, we will understand. We can lock away your kind gift until tomorrow, or have it delivered to your room if you prefer to guard it yourself. In the meantime, as Narcissa said, these young ladies can attend to any needs you might have."
Guillaume turns so that he is facing the girls. He knows Tricia will obey him instinctively, but to reinforce what Narcissa ordered, he peers deeply into Laura's eyes. "Tricia, Laura, you do understand that we are counting on you to make Sir Drakonic feel welcome here.... Make sure he is comfortable, and provide him with anything for which he asks."
