Aradia enters the long hallway just in time to see her cousins emerging from Selah's room.

"Merry meet, Sisters!" Aradia calls. "I am glad to see you both rejuvenated. Our charge is awake... but just as big a mystery as ever."

::The walk up the stairs seems to be perhaps one of the longest walks she had ever taken. Longer then the walk to the Kiss even while she was still mortal. She knows this is where her abilities will be tested, hypnotism and sexual with a woman. Sating Laura's sexual tensions however should prove to be easy, as Laura is practically insane with desire for Belle. This evening's events is hoped to quell those desires, at least for now. She looks to Tricia and Guillaume as they pass by, actually wishing nothing to do with Tricia for the moment, as she 'must' concentrate on satisfying and taking a drink from Laura. She actually hopes Guillaume with depart with Tricia into another room for privacy, but knows there is little chance of that happening. In a way, she feels as if the actions she takes with Laura will be on display for Guillaume to judge and Tricia to observe, and this does put her off a bit. She does her best to concentrate though as she and Laura sit on the bed. She decides to rise and pull back the sheets for Laura and without even thinking twice, her gaze moves to the walls. She raises a brow and takes a good long look at the pictures of Belle. She almost ruins the moment however with recognition in her gaze, but quickly recovers.::

"Either this is someone you are stalking Laura, or this is not your room."

::It is said as a statement, but meant as a question as she returns to Laura's bedside. Being that Laura is frozen at the bed unsure of what to do, she lays Laura back against several pillows and lays next to her. She crosses one leg over the other and props up on one elbow...she hopes this display will help Laura relax through this process. After much thought, she decides to act quickly before conversation takes up their entire night. She sits up and flips back a few of Laura's curls from her face allowing her fingertip to trace down Laura's cheek.::

"I don't think it's the flu that you have Laura."

::She continues to trace a finger down Laura's face, down her shoulders and again into the opening of her robe. She can tell Laura is frozen, although she is not sure if it is because of ultimate desire, or fear of what is going on. Her fingertip reaches the knot in Laura's robe and slips into it undoing the neat knot she had just a while ago so quickly cinched. Her mind calls out to Guillaume, and she is hoping he can hear her, if that is even possible.::

['tell me i'm not moving too fast Guillaume...tell me if i'm doing alright. damn, i hope you can hear this.']

::Her finger continues to trace beneath the light fabric, which seems to be disappearing at her very touch. Her finger traces to Laura's hipbone and slowly down her thigh as she leans in to whisper in Laura's ear.::

"You are not sick Laura. Tell me what you want. Tell me what you really desire."

When Tricia meets Sir Guillaume at the landing, at his touch, her feelings of jealousy melt away and she is willing to follow where ever he leads. When he says"You should join us upstairs in case we need any assistance tending to her needs.", referring to Laura, Tricia falls in step and say quietly" As you wish Sir Guillaume, I am more than willing to help you." As she moves, the top of her robe loosens and she feels the cool air brushing her now almost completely exposed chest and shivers in delight at the combined feeling of the very handsome Guillame's hand and the air on her skin...............

"Your friend Laura is feeling discomfitted," Guillaume tells Laura's friend Tricia as they follow Narcissa and Laura up the stairs. "We are putting her to bed. You should join us upstairs in case we need any assistance tending to her needs."

"As you wish Sir Guillaume," Tricia responds instantly, her voice betraying the excited relief his presence, along with Narcissa, provides this hapless girl. The addictive effect of Guillaume's and Narcissa's combined essence in Tricia's blood will mean for as long as she remains a mortal woman, she can feel serenity and joy only when in their company. "I am more than willing to help you."

Guillaume watches as Narcissa leads Laura to a bedroom heavy with Laura's aroma, but still retaining much of Belladonna's scent as well. He wonders if Narcissa is surprised that he and Tricia do not follow them in.

"I think it best if we leave Laura alone with Narcissa for a bit," Guillaume says as they continue down the hallway. "That will give Narcissa time to tend to Laura's illness. In the meantime, I am feeling a bit trail worn after our long hike here. I would like to find some comfortable place to relax and rest my feet."

They enter the master bedroom at the end of the hall. Guillaume sits on the couch, and Tricia hesitates, uncertain. "I would like my boots off," Guillaume suggests, and is pleased, although not much surprised, when Tricia falls to her knees before him and begins untying his laces. Her robe has now fallen almost completely open, exposing much of Tricia's luscious body beneath.

Guillaume leans back and closes his eyes. He is suddenly aware of Narcissa's thoughts emanating from the other room. She is but a fledgling vampire, and his own telepathy has never been particularly strong, but their love, and the bond between them it creates, makes up for that. Although he cannot discern exact words, the nature of her concerns are plain.

Guillaume focuses on his own passion for Narcissa, hoping it will allow her to hear the sincerity in his wishes.

Do not be concerned, Beloved, Guillaume thinks. Just follow your instincts. You are doing perfectly.

It had taken her a few minutes, but the blind girl was upright. 'One good thing about standing,' she thought, 'my head seems clearer, and my ears seem to be working.' It wasn't much, but she could hear the woman from her room speaking to someone in the hallway out side of it. She was still only catching about one word in every three, but that was better than nothing. She felt very weak, but knew that if she lay back down it could be quite a while before she would have the strength and opportunity to try again. Slightly dizzy, she pulled herself out of her invalid's slouch, standing upright and clinging rather desperately to the enormous four-poster bed. Hesitantly, she let go with one hand. She was upright, and okay. Cautiously, she let go with the other hand. A little wobbly maybe, but her legs held her up quite nicely she thought. Then the blind girl did the most courageous and possibly the most stupid thing in her so far short existence. She very tentatively attempted to take a step. And promptly fell flat on her face with a THUD that she had no trouble at all hearing.

Laura lies back, her head and shoulders comfortably supported by several pillows. Her head turns to the left to maintain her shared gaze with Princess Narcissa, who sits up in bed next to her.

"I don't think it's the flu that you have, Laura," Princess Narcissa tells her as she gently strokes Laura's face.

Not the flu? But hadn't Princess Narcissa said.... Oh, no, that's right. She had simply wanted to check Laura's eyes for the flu, but she had never... But then why had Laura said she was ill? To explain... to explain.... Laura trembles as she remembers her reaction earlier this evening to again seeing Princess Narcissa. Laura had been nearly overcome by an inexplicable and inappropriate yearning for Princess Narcissa, identical to that Laura has felt for her friend Belle Philips ever since learning that Belle had run off with some mysterious lover. Laura is almost as ashamed of having lied to Princess Narcissa -- and Sir Guillaume, for that matter -- as she is about the feelings themselves. How could she have lied to such kind and generous people? After all, Sir Guillaume has confirmed that Narcissa has come all this way for no other purpose than to help Laura.

Laura's eyes, still locked in Princess Narcissa's warm gaze, widen suddenly as her benefactress' index finger traces a sensuous line from Laura's cheek, down the side of her neck, to inside Laura's collar at the top of her shoulder. Laura's breath becomes a staccato of breathy, uneven inhalations followed by noisy sighs as Princess Narcissa's finger traverses her sensitive skin along the inside edge of Laura's lapel to where the robe comes together over Laura's breastbone, and then continues down her stomach, parting the robe by the width of one finger until reaching the sash tied just below Laura's navel. Princess Narcissa easily unravels this knot.

Laura whimpers slightly as Princess Narcissa hesitates, and it seems as if her mind wanders for a moment. Then, Princess Narcissa's finger continues its journey, diverting toward Laura's right hip, and pushing the robe aside as it travels. That side of the robe falls away, leaving the entire right half of Laura's body bare. Laura moans. The bed starts creaking softly from the motion of her hips.

As her hand slips down to caress Laura's right thigh, Princess Narcissa leans forward to brush her lips against Laura's left ear.

"You are not sick, Laura," Narcissa reminds her reassuringly. "Tell me what you want. Tell me what you really desire."

With Narcissa's eyes no longer in view, her hypnotic influence starts to fade. It matters little. After so many days of unsated longing for such companionship -- and Laura's subconscious and unsuspected addiction to that aspect of Narcissa now shaped by Belle's DNA -- Laura's physical needs take over where Narcissa's hypnotism left off. Unable to gain control of her panting breath to respond to Narcissa's question, Laura slowly closes her eyes as her legs instinctively open... intimating what Laura really does desire.

::Being as she has little to no psychic ability right now, she hopes Guillaume heard her request, as she does not hear his. But for some reason, she can feel him close even though he chose not to stay in the room. She is grateful for that as now she can either prove her talent for pleasing another woman, or bullshit her way through it all. She smiles though as her suggestive tone seemed to work well on Laura. Her parting legs suggest that she needs satisfaction...now. She laughs low into Laura's ear with personal triumph at her actions.::

"Ahhhh...that's what I thought."

::She slides her hand down around Lauras thigh teasing the poor girl. She doesn't do it for sexual purposes however, she just merely wants to torture her for at least a few more minutes. She is, however, unsure if she should kiss Laura, or keep her distance, or actually what she should do. She sits up and opens Laura's robe fully exposing her soft flesh. Laura's writhing in sexual desire makes her hunger for this woman....how desperately she wants to press her lips to this poor girls jugular and drain her...her own breathing has now become ragged, not for sexual satisfaction, but for her blood. As she works up her own appetite she becomes a bit more forceful with Laura suddenly leaning down to her stomach and pressing her lips to her hot flesh. She licks up to Laura's breasts and forces her hand between Laura's legs massaging lightly forcing her fingernails to dance where Laura would feel the most satisfaction.

Laura's ragged breathing has now become more intense, and heavier. Her pants have become moans as the torture continues. Finally, she slides back down the bed between Laura's legs where she offers oral satisfaction. Her tongue presses hard against her until Laura writhes and arches her back giving in to desire and releasing the orgasm that has been building up inside for days. But instead of letting her rest, she continues her mission of satisfying Laura wanting her to have several releases to last her through the day for rest. She rises up and brings her fingertips again between Laura's legs massaging continuously all the while pressing her lips, and at times biting at her skin leaving light tooth marks on her flesh. Laura doesn't care however as her mind is occupied on bigger and better things. Both of their moans are clearly heard through paper thin walls...Laura's moans of ecstacy, and her own moans of agony wishing to tear at her flesh can easily be heard by Guillaume and Tricia. It is with their last gasps of pleasure that she calls out to Guillaume while Laura's cries out on her own.::

"Guillaume....come in quick!"

Laughing made her slightly out of breath. She stopped. Rolled over. And realized she didn't know where she was in relation to the bed.

She pushed herself up onto her hands and knees and began feeling the air in front of her, trying to find the big, old four-poster bed again.

Subject: Faith [Laura]

From: Laura_Junius

Reply to: Narcissa_ [ Message 491 ]

I can't believe I'm doing this! Laura thinks as she surrenders her body again to the pleasures Narcissa's tongue affords Laura's most intimate places. The first orgasm had come so quickly and intensely, that Laura had not fully appreciated what was happening as Narcissa's sensual massage had quickly turned to impassioned sex. By the time Laura had somewhat recovered from that initial delightful shock, Narcissa's mouth was back at work and had already brought Laura so close to a new climax that Laura could do nothing but submit to the ecstacy. Now, regaining her breath from that second orgasm, even as Narcissa continues to lick, nip and tickle Laura's almost unbearably sensitive folds, Laura starts to reflect on what is actually happening.

I can't believe I'm doing this!! The thought is primarily one of surprise, although Laura recognizes the rising guilt it reflects as well. She is having sex with a woman... a woman she only met yesterday, and who remains essentially a total stranger to her. Laura knows she should feel honored that Narcissa would do this for her, but she can't remember why. Whatever the reason, it is only that impression of prestige -- well, together with the fact that it feels so irresistibly good -- which keeps Laura from pulling away in shame.

I can't believe I'm doing this!!! Laura decides she will reciprocate when Narcissa is finished with her, and give to Narcissa the same unmitigated pleasure Narcissa continues to bestow upon her. The idea of the physical act itself repulses Laura slightly -- put her mouth THERE?! -- but she finds this revulsion is overcome by her desire to please and be accepted by Narcissa. Laura decides it must be because Narcissa is so beautiful and kindhearted. She feels bad about her original antagonistic attitude toward Narcissa, and her unflattering assumptions about her character, and tries to remember exactly what it was that made her change her opinion about the woman. It has to be more than the fact that Narcissa is an aristocrat. (Isn't she an actual princess? No that couldn't be right... but Laura remembers that she is some kind of nobility.) Titles don't impress Laura. Her desire to make love to Narcissa must be due to Narcissa's kind generosity, that made her travel all this way just to help Laura. Laura cannot recall what help she had needed, and it suddenly makes little difference. She prefers what Narcissa is doing now... lapping at that tiny bit of flesh that is one of the primary sources of women's ultimate joy.

"I can't believe... I'm... I'm... I... I can't believe... this...." Laura groans as Narcissa again leads her to the culminating pinnacle of ecstacy.

Through her own cries of pleasure, Laura hears Narcissa's voice. "Guillaume... come in quick!"

Laura's whole body jerks, and she pulls away from Narcissa.

"What?!" Laura shouts. She snatches at the blankets, desperately trying to cover herself. Feeling betrayed, and with tears already in her eyes, she looks up at Narcissa, and can only manage a raspy gasp. "Why?"

Guillaume leans back on the couch, listening to the sounds of Narcissa's and Laura's passion in the next room. Tricia still kneels before him, sitting back on her heels. After removing his boots, she had carefully pulled off his socks as well, without being asked. Guillaume wonders if her initiative in this regard should concern or delight him.

He regards the girl through half closed eyelids. He sees that the sweet sounds from the bedroom next-door have greatly augmented Tricia's own desires. Guillaume remains undecided as to whether the enjoyment and satisfaction he would find in relieving her distress is outweighed by the amusement he would take in leaving her in frustrated torture.

Tricia's own breathing grows audible and unsteady as the incoherent voices through the wall rise to yet another torrid crescendo. Guillaume leans forward. He resolves to pleasurably torment Tricia for a while. He can always satisfy her needs a little later, or just depart, subjecting her to another day of unsated lust.

"Tricia," he begins in low, seductive tones. "Why don't we...."

"Guillaume!" Narcissa's voice intrudes from the other room. "Come in quick!"

He hears Laura's surprised shout as he jumps up onto his bare feet. Leaving Tricia where she kneels, he darts into the hall and turns into the next doorway, wondering what could have caused such commotion.

"...and check your pulse. Make sure everything is back to normal."

::She tries to make eye contact again, but Laura's wild gaze is now darting all over, and finally to the door as Guillaume enters. She bites her lip knowing there is no way Laura is going to fall for that. She looks desperately to Guillaume to fix this faux pas. The only reason she called him in here was to start the bloodletting so that they may start to enslave her. She'd thought the idea of having Guillaume join in would excite Laura...not terrify her. She speaks to Guillaume and fumbles through her words.::

She tries to sound calm, but her gaze proves to him that she is lost now. All the frenzy and excitement shared between her and Laura has caused her to lose focus and that is why she called out so quickly. She leans up and whispers in his ear.::

"Jesus, Guillaume," Narcissa whispers so Laura cannot hear. "I think I just totally screwed this up."

"Perhaps," the vampire growls softly in response. "But do not worry. We simply need to unscrew it."

He looks at Laura, sobbing and curled up near the headboard, with a white sheet pulled entirely over herself. The girl's whole body twitches as Guillaume sits on the foot of the bed.

"Laura, my dear," he begins gently, his voice slightly louder than when he spoke to Narcissa, but still so low that she will need to lie still to hear. "You needn't be upset. Narcissa obviously cares so much for you. That's why she called me... because she cares so much for you. She thought you would feel more comfortable with a man. She thought you would prefer having me here with you."

Laura shudders under the sheet. Guillaume sighs. It would be so much easier to just let Narcissa feed from Laura. Have Narcissa drink her dry, and then take Tricia back to the manor without letting her discover her friend's fate. In Narcissa's current mood, it would not take much to convince her to devour all Laura's blood, rather than the mere sip for which they had come.

But they had promised Belladonna to preserve both girls' lives. So, as he has no choice but to take Laura as a slave, Guillaume devotes the time to ensure Laura will find her subjugation as agreeable as possible... not out of any concern for Laura's happiness, but simply so she serves them better.

"Narcissa and I just want to make you happy," he reminds her in the same tone he had used on her earlier downstairs. He then turns to Narcissa, and speaks in his normal voice. "Darling, I am sure the first thing Laura needs is a cool glass of water. I bet if you look around downstairs, you'll find a nice, big glass mug. Have Tricia assist you, if you like. That will help Laura begin to feel better. There is nothing more refreshing than ice cold water in a big frosty glass."

Her pacing certainly makes Laura more suspicious and more afraid, but Guillaumes calm, soothing voice, does have an effect on her even though she does not possess his essence. She stops as he turns and tells her to retrieve a glass...many times over...the word glass is repeated. Without a second guess, she turns towards the door following his instructions, but she wonders exactly what he's up to with the notion of the glass. Surely he does not intend to use it to drink her blood from...does he?

After bumping into a number of peices of furniture that were not the bed, the blind girl sat back on her haunches to think a bit. While she had been crawling around the room, she had been aware of quite a lot of comings and goings, and (even though what she could hear sounded like it was coming through cotton-stuffed ears,) she was sure that the exits had all involved quite a bit of pain. She didn't know how, but lost in a cavernous bedroom, it hardly mattered right now. What was needed now was practicality (and a little help.)

The blind girl started looking for the walls. Not knowing where she was, was becoming more and more inconvenient. A wall would help her find some piece of furniture, she was sure.

Ah, there. She couldn't tell how long she had been crawling around the room, but her knees were pretty tender. Taking a chance, she walked her hands up the wall until she was standing again.

She rested for a while.

Laura jerks further away as someone sits on the other end of the bed.

"Laura, my dear," Sir Guillaume whispers so softly that she must strain to hear. "You needn't be upset. Narcissa obviously cares so much for you. That's why she called me... because she cares so much for you. She thought you would feel more comfortable with a man. She thought you would prefer having me here with you."

Laura trembles with confused anger. She still could hardly believe she had let Narcissa seduce her. She has no other explanation for what had happened, and it is bad enough. But now Narcissa apparently wants her to join in some sort of "three-way" with Guillaume. Laura finds the idea repulsive and perverse.

She has only just met the man, and isn't about to consider sex with him, especially as part of an orgy!

None the less, while she has no desire for Guillaume, Laura is horrified to realize that she still desperately wants to make love to Narcissa.

"Narcissa and I just want to make you happy," Sir Guillaume reminds her convincingly.

Even if Laura's recent suspicions of a previously repressed lesbian nature are true -- as recent events seem to indicate -- that doesn't mean she should be jumping into bed with the first beautiful woman who knocks on her door. Yet that's exactly what she has done. As she tries to make sense of her own inexplicably loathsome behavior, she hardly notices Guillaume's suggestion that Narcissa fetch her a glass of water.

In fact, Guillaume's suggestion only registers with Laura when she hears Narcissa walk out into the hallway and say, "Tricia, please come with me to help me find a glass in the kitchen."

Tricia, too? Narcissa's assumption that Laura would accept Narcissa's lover Guillaume into her bed with them was itself the height of temerity. How could Narcissa even begin to believe that Laura would agree to make love in Tricia's presence as well?

Laura realizes none of this should really surprise her. Last night, before meeting them, she had spied Narcissa and Guillaume making noisy love on a public shoreline just a few hundred feet from this house. It makes sense that such blatant exhibitionists could enjoy group sex as well.

And Laura realizes that Tricia might go along with it, given the opportunity. For several days, Laura has suspected that Tricia was attracted to her. This was confirmed after Guillaume and Narcissa left last night and Tricia dropped a not very subtle hint that she would like Laura to join her in bed. Laura wonders if Tricia had actually invited Guillaume and Narcissa to return, to help seduce Laura into accepting Tricia's spurned lesbian advances.

Laura doesn't know what role Tricia played in all this. It doesn't really matter. All Laura knows is that she feels deceived, used and denigrated.

She realizes that the whole time she has been lying there mulling over all this, Guillaume has remained seated at the foot of her bed, evidently supposing a familiarity Laura did not confer. When she hears cupboards opening and closing downstairs, as Narcissa and Tricia comply with Guillaume's earlier request, Laura's increasing revulsion and resentment toward the whole course of the evening's events overboils.

"I don't need a damned glass of water!" Laura suddenly screams as she pulls the sheet down off of her face, which is twisted ugly with rage. "I just need you people out of my life." Tears start to flow and she rubs her eyes with balled fists as she sobs, "Please, won't you just get out of this house...."

::She presses her fingers between Tricia's legs having the urge to satisfy both women tonight. At least Tricia is under her control and she can easily manipulate the woman. Laura's condition however, is quite the opposite...frenzied, lost, suspicious and worst of all, untrusting. Of course, at this time she and Guillaume are not to be trust at all, but these two do not know any better. She pulls back Tricia's hair from her neck and offers soft kisses as her fingers ease into a massage.::

"Keep quiet Tricia, I don't want anyone to hear us."

::She keeps Tricia pressed against the countertop facing forward while the cupboards remain open. Tricia has already grabbed a glass and it can be heard quietly scraping along the countertop in a rythmic motion as they continue to move together at a slow erotic pace. Tricia's moans are quiet, just as she ordered as her fingers press harder against her. In a more forceful manner, she spreads Tricia's legs further apart and reaches down with her other hand to pleasure Tricia. Her free hand now reaches around to toy with her nipples...faster and faster, the rhythm of her fingers continues until Tricia can no longer stand the quiet. They are both breathing hard, as now she is not hungry for Tricia's blood, but for more. She is desperate for Tricia to orgasm, and wants to be pleasured as well by her....She reaches one of Tricia's hands between her own legs where she guides a finger under her leather shorts. The pressure of Tricia's finger matches that of her own, along with the pace so that both women are now caught in the cycle of sexual frenzy. She rocks her hips behind Tricia, but finds that Tricia is well experienced on what to do already. She presses her lips to Tricia's skin just before orgasm and moans loudly, muffled by Tricia's hair and skin. As Tricia starts to orgasm, she presses as hard as she can against the folds of skin between her legs and rips open her thin robe, completely exposing her against the counter. With Tricia, she feels an almost animal lust, wishing she was a man so that she may penetrate her with more than just fingers...she sees a divine roughness with Tricia, that Laura is too delicate for. She lays her head against Tricia's back and both pant with mild breaths, her fingertips still lingering at Tricia's thighs.::

"Christ Tricia...I can't wait for Guillaume to have you also. I want to see what you can do to him. But we have to get back upstairs and help Laura."

::With that, she takes the glass and starts to head back upstairs with Tricia in tow. She looks back over her shoulder and notices that Tricia is walking up with her robe undone. She can't help but giggle and turns to wrap her back up. She also can't help massaging Tricia's breasts for a few moments longer as she cinches the robe back shut. Before they enter, she has Tricia fill the glass with water from the bathroom and wait outside of the bedroom. She opens the door to Laura's room with glass in hand and a satisfied smirk.

"One glass of water...right here."

"I don't need a damned glass of water!" Laura shouts at Guillaume as she suddenly sits up in bed and pulls the sheet off from over her head. It falls away from her shoulders but bunches up so as to not quite expose her breasts. "I just need you people out of my life."

Guillaume finds her unusual willpower appealing. Despite having the Vampiress Belladonna's addictive essence in her blood for several nights, and having been subjected to varying degrees of both Guillaume's and Narcissa's vampiric mesmerism all evening, Laura remains essentially untamed. Many humans, once subjected to a vampire's powers, become little more than automatons, faithfully carrying out their assigned duties without any drive or personality. A rare few, those with particularly strong egos, retain a spark of individualism, even after they are fully subjugated, that they apply to serving their master with initiative and creativity. Ironically, it is Laura's independent nature that will ultimately make her the perfect slave.

Nevertheless, the vampires' effects have taken their toll on the girl, and conflicting emotions contort her usually beautiful face as she starts to cry. For the first time in nearly two centuries, Guillaume feels a twinge of compassion for a human. She cannot be more than twenty years old. With her natural beauty and strength of character, Laura's life among mortals would have had held so much potential. Of course, it is far too late for any of that. Already saturated with Belladonna's essence, only three possible fates await Laura: become a vampire, serve a vampire, or die.

"Please," Laura sobs. "Won't you just get out of this house?"

Guillaume could readily bend Laura to his will right there with hypnotism, coupled with sipping her blood and thereby introducing his essence into her as well. By tomorrow night, she would be his willing slave.

But the sympathy Laura has engendered in Guillaume gives him an idea. He has had concerns about Narcissa. Despite having become a vampire herself only a few nights before, she has already started to demonstrate a vicious disregard for humans, such as is usually seen only in much older Kindred. While Guillaume himself has no real concern about cruelty to mortals, he knows from terrible experience how one Vampire's unchecked sadism can call attention to, and thereby threaten, the entire Kindred community.

Guillaume hopes that Laura might revive a bit of Narcissa's human benevolence, and thereby at least slow her descent toward immortal cold-heartedness. Laura already feels a compelling attraction for Narcissa because of that part of Narcissa's vampiric nature formed by Belladonna's essence. Guillaume decides to continue concentrating his powers to reinforcing that devotion, so that Laura's love for her might stir just a bit of Narcissa's remaining humanity.

First, however, he had to again make Laura comfortable with their presence.

"You want us out of this house?" Guillaume asks, as if surprised and hurt. He meets Laura's burning gaze as she stares at him with hatred. "If that's how you really feel... We will comply with your desires, of course. The choice is yours. You must choose what is best for you, as we came here only to offer our help. That being so, you could instead, of course..." He leans forward to look more deeply into her eyes. "Choose to ask us to stay."

Keeping his gaze locked upon Laura's, Guillaume hears feral noises from the kitchen downstairs revealing that Narcissa has decided to assuage the sweet torment her and Guillaume's presence has produced in Tricia. He wonders if Narcissa's motivations are altruistic or selfish. He assumes it must be the latter as Narcissa's groans start to mingle with, and even outpace, Tricia's.

The sounds are somewhat muffled, and both woman are apparently attempting to avoid being heard. The urgency of their ardor, however, overcomes their discretion. Although unable to turn her eyes from Guillaume, Laura's attention has obviously moved to the sounds of passion echoing up the stairs. Laura's ragged breath, flushed skin and musky scent all betray the profound effect this audile voyeurism has upon her. Guillaume smiles.

"See," he tells her. Again his eyes widen slightly and his voice assumes a steady, almost melodic, cadence. "Your dear friend Tricia appreciates our company. You have benefitted from Narcissa's ministrations yourself. Narcissa has proven already that she only wants what is best for you. You really don't want us to leave, do you."

To punctuate his point, the incoherent cries from downstairs reach their peak, then quickly fade. Laura visibly shudders, and her breath quickens to a loud, rapid panting. Guillaume continues with the same hypnotic mantra -- reminding Laura how fortunate she is that he and Narcissa have honored her with their visit -- until he hears Narcissa and Tricia reach the top of the stairs.

He then leans forward so that Laura can still hear his voice, which has dropped to a concerned, warm whisper. "You really don't want us to leave. You have been so distraught these past few nights. That is why we are here... to help you. That's right; now you remember. Narcissa has helped you so much already, and now she has gone to fetch you water. You are so thirsty. Narcissa just wants to take care of you. You are so thirsty. That is why she went to get you some water. You are so thirsty. You will be so grateful when Narcissa brings you the water, you would do anything to thank her. You are so thirsty... so very thirsty...."

The bedroom door opens. Guillaume casually turns his head to face it, and Laura's gaze automatically follows. Narcissa stands there holding a sparkling glass of cold water.

"One glass of water," Narcissa smiles seductively at Laura. "Right here."

Laura stares transfixedly at the dim bedroom light sparkling in the fine droplets condensed on the surface of the water glass in Narcissa's hand.

No... That isn't right. Not just plain "Narcissa." Sir Guillaume had introduced her as "Lady Narcissa."

In fact, hadn't someone said she is actually a princess? Right? An American turned princess... like Princess Grace? Laura can't remember. Right now, she does not really care. All she knows and cares about is that she is dying of thirst and that Lady Narcissa has been so kind as to bring her something to drink.

"One glass of water," Lady Narcissa announces needlessly from the doorway. She wears an odd, satisfied smile. Laura assumes it is because Lady Narcissa finds some delightful irony in attending to the simple needs of a commoner like Laura. Laura remembers how honored she should feel that real live princess is taking the trouble to help her, just because of a touch of the flu.

No... wait. It wasn't the flu. Princess Narcissa had said so. It was... Laura's brow furrows as she begins to remember....

"Right here," Princess Narcissa calls sweetly, to remind Laura of the water, lifting the glass and shaking it a little so that refracted light accents Princess Narcissa's astonishingly beautiful face.

"Thank you," Laura's words emerge from her dry, panting mouth as an unintelligibly raspy croak. Laura swallows and purses her lips as she attempts to draw more moisture onto her arid tongue.

"I am so grateful," Laura finally manages to say, although her breathing remains desperate and ragged. "I would do anything...."

Laura pauses and shudders, and a confused expression passes momentarily over her face, but her gaze returns to the glass of water wrapped delicately inside Princess Narcissa's long, slender fingers.

"I am so thirsty," Laura whispers. "So very thirsty...."

She notices Laura's look of desperation to get her hands on that water...he must have said something to make her so thirsty as just moments ago, while she and Tricia were downstairs, she was screaming that she wasn't thristy. She smirks and stands at the door for a moment tempting Laura, but eventually heads to the bed and hands her the glass. "Is everything okay now?" Narcissa whispers in Guillaume's ear.

Laura, desperately guzzling the water, remains oblivious to their quiet conversation.

"This one has a remarkably strong will," the vampire replies softly. "A bit of subtlety is necessary to minimize her suspicions. Otherwise, the only way to tame her is to obliterate her personality, and that would be a waste."

Guillaume clears his throat as Laura finishes her drink. She sits in bed, staring at the empty glass, looking perplexed.

"Laura," Guillaume begins smoothly. "You're still feeling a bit unsteady." The glass immediately starts to tremble in her hand. "It would be best if you set that on the night stand."

Laura reaches over to place the glass on the cabinet next to the bed.

"Careful, Laura," Guillaume continues in the same tone. "The way your hand is shaking, you might drop the glass. Take care not to..." As Laura reaches back, the glass' movement follows an arc that brings it out over the floor as it approaches the top of the night stand. Guillaume has timed his admonitions such that at the precise moment the glass is over the hardwood floor, he finishes his sentence, with his voice not rising at all, but taking a slightly sharper, more insistent tone, "drop it."

It seemed like she'd been wandering around this room for hours, it must be enormous. She hadn't found the bed yet, but she had encountered several other pieces of furniture, including a rather large armoire. Being cold by this time, she had opened it, fallen in it, and finally managed to pull something on over her head. She hoped it looked allright. She hoped it wasn't on backwards.

Tired and dizzy, she had rested in the armoire for a bit. When she had finally felt rested enough to get up and continue her search, she had found that her legs wouldn't hold her. She began to crawl around the walls of the room, hoping that she wasn't going back the way she had just come.

It matters little, as now she is enjoying herself and actually excited to be alive for once. She puts her hands on his shoulders and rubs lightly until Laura drops the glass. From: Laura_Junius

Laura watches mortified as the empty glass slips from her trembling fingers, bounces off the front of the nightstand, and shatters across the oak floor next to the bed.

Feeling the blush already rising in her cheeks, she looks embarrassedly at Sir Guillaume and Princess Narcissa. Neither appears the least bit appalled by her clumsiness. Both stare into her eyes with rapt attention. Laura feels honored that two such distinguished guests show such concern for her well-being.

"I'm sorry," Laura stammers. "I just seem to keep dropping things tonight."

She remembers the turkey sandwich Princess Narcissa cleaned up after Laura dropped it on the livingroom floor. Laura simply cannot allow Princess Narcissa to again demean herself in that way.

"I'll clean up the glass later," Laura assures them.

Sir Guillaume glances down for a moment, and Laura follows his eyes. She notices he is barefoot. She will have to clean up the glass before he can get up off her bed.

The problem Laura faces is that she wears nothing but a light robe, that is open and pulled back on her shoulders. Only the bedsheets bunched up against her chest hide her breasts from public view. Even if she manages to close it and tie the sash without exposing herself, the short robe is not the sort of garment in which she can bend over in front of a man she hardly knows. Still, someone has to clean up the broken glass, and Sir Guillaume and Princess Narcissa remain there, gazing at her patiently, even kindly... but expectantly.

After the emotional confusion of the past several days -- and the ongoing hypnotic influence to which she is unknowingly being subjected -- Laura fails to notice the strangeness of these circumstances. For the moment, all she knows is that she broke a glass and it is her responsibility to clean it up.

Shifting around as best she can under the sheets, Laura gets herself on her stomach on the bed, with her head and shoulders beyond the edge of the mattress, looking down at the mess on the floor. Reaching out with her right hand to pick up the glass, she reaches back with her left to adjust the sheet and her robe to avoid exposing her bare bottom as she moves around to reach the broken pieces of the glass.

She has little trouble collecting the large fragments and stacking them on the nightstand. However, when she tries to retrieve the smaller shards, the awkwardness of her position makes an accident inevitable.

"Damn!" Laura suddenly cries as a triangular shard drops awkwardly out of her right hand. She jerks her hand up to stare at the deep gashes in her index finger and thumb, both already filling with hot, red blood.

"Oh yes...yes...you should let me tend to that."

::She plants a kiss on Guillaume's cheek and steps off the bed, the left over glass on the floor crunching beneath her big boots.::

"Come quickly Laura, I'd hate for you to lose too much blood."

::With that, she escorts Laura away from the bed, and with a last glance, looks back to Guillaume. She can tell he looks as if he would like a taste also, but stays where he is. She looks to him longingly to join, but continues their journey to the cold tiled room. She leads Laura easily, who is still under the sway of Guillaume and turns a running faucet on. The cut is deep, much deeper than she'd even thought. She juts Laura's hand under the water, at least to wash away the glass, for she's quite sure that would not taste good. All the while, Tricia is looking in from the hallway peering between Guillaume on the bed, and the both of them in the bathroom. After a few minutes, she does something odd....she takes Laura's hand and presses it to her lips. She can tell Laura is again horrified, but explains her actions this time.::

"Laura dear, in order for me to get the excess glass out, I must suck at it...I would hate for any bits to get into your bloodstream."

::It sounded almost ridiculous, but with a strong, convincing voice, Laura looks at ease and accepting of this action. She brings Laura's hand to her lips, and as best she can, she sips at the blood without looking like she is enjoying it. But unfortunately, she is, all too much...the taste is so sweet, the feel is so warm going down her throat. She knows she must break away, but cannot. It is all too delicious. After a moment or two, she breaks Laura's wrist and the only reason she does so is because of the look of panic on Laura's face. She rakes her tongue against the wound on a finger and it easily closes. She does her best again to calm her.::

"There...I think it's all out...you shouldn't have any more problems. That wound wasn't as deep as this one on your wrist dear. Let's get you bandaged."

She had rested a while, then got up and moved on further. Not being able to see was disorienting her more and more, and even though she hadn't left what she was coming to think of as her room, the blind girl knew that she was hopelessly lost.

But at least she was lost on her feet.

Almost as soon as the thought came, she ran into something and fell. It felt like a large and very solid piece of furniture, at least to her toes and hip. Groaning she sat up, rubbing the affected joint. She had lost the wall, but she still had what she had run into. She forced herself upward and put her hand on it. Followed it to where the wall should have been. It wasn't there. She turned around, feeling for the wall. And found only more furniture, and beyond that open space. She turned around again, and leaned out in what she thought would proove to be the correct direction. She lost her balance and fell. Panting with anxiety, she forced herself up to her hands and knees thinking to feel her way back to the furniture, back to the wall.

And suddenly found herself too afraid to move.

In movies and novels, characters waken the day after extraordinary events and question whether those strange occurrences were just a dream.

That does not happen in real life.

Laura awakens in the middle of the night, hearing the front door close downstairs, followed by two pairs of footsteps crossing the porch and descending the steps to the yard.

Lady Narcissa and Sir Guillaume have left.

Laura knows they'll be back.

Laura lies on her right side in bed, her knees bent to bring her legs up snugly, her left arm draped across her waist, her right arm extended out in front across the damp sheet.

Ironically, Laura's memories of the past few hours -- from the time Guillaume appeared at the front door until Narcissa last put Laura to bed -- do actually seem as remote and surrealistic as a dream.

In the wan moonlight, Laura sees the bandage wrapped around her right wrist.

It had happened. It had really happened.

All of it.

Laura shudders.

How could she have let Narcissa DO those things to her? Laura's revulsion for the intimacies Narcissa performed upon her, and Laura's resulting self-loathing, quench for the time being her incessant ache to again share such ecstasies with Narcissa.

Laura suddenly, desperately needs to feel clean.

Laura wants a bath.

Laura sits up in bed. As the covers fall away, the cool night air caresses her bare breasts, stiffening her nipples sensuously. Laura gasps and shivers, less from the chill than from the warm carnal yearning suddenly spiraling down her spine to spread like a vast emptiness between her legs.

Tiny shards of broken glass still sparkle moonlight from the oak floor on one side of the bed. Laura gets out on the other side as she pulls the short silk robe draped on her shoulders back around herself. She does not bother to tie the sash, but simply holds the robe in place with clenched fists crossing her stomach.

Laura leaves her room and pads softly to the end of the hallway to peek into the master bedroom. She is relieved to see Tricia soundly asleep. Laura has no doubt that Tricia knows what Laura and Narcissa had done together. Based upon Tricia's earlier comments and suggestions, Tricia might very well have been disappointed when Laura rejected Narcissa's invitation to have Guillaume -- and presumably Tricia, too -- join them in bed.

Laura shakes her head and sighs in despair. How could this have happened? She had made love with a woman! Or, more precisely, had let Narcissa make love to her... but, still, what could she have been thinking?!

Laura shakes her head violently, trying to suppress the torrid memories of Narcissa's intimate and gratifying touch, even as they inspire renewed but unwanted physical desires.

Again shuddering, Laura turns around and enters the main bathroom. For the past few nights, she has found needed relaxation in a nice, warm bubble bath. The new source of her distress makes her longing for hot, cleansing waters all the more acute.

Being careful to first close both the hallway door and the door that connects the bathroom to the master bedroom, Laura sheds the robe. The nighttime air refreshes her as it raises tingly goosebumps all over her naked body.

Laura's hand and right arm quiver almost imperceptibly with a not entirely unpleasant tickle. Laura had first noticed it when she awoke, but had simply thought her arm was "asleep." But even after being up and moving around the sensation continues, and seems to have spread up into her shoulder. She wonders if it might be just a psychosomatic reaction to cutting herself. She resolves not to worry about it, unless it persists tomorrow.

She examines the gauze bandage Narcissa had wrapped around her right wrist. Laura scowls. She had thought the worst gashes were on her index finger and thumb. Certainly that was where she had seen the blood. But that must have run from an unnoticed cut on her wrist, because now all she finds on her thumb and finger are two pink scratches, that look more like fully healed scars than recent wounds.

No blood has seeped through the bandage on her wrist, and Laura considers unwrapping it. She decides, however, that it is probably best to leave the wound covered during her bath. She will need to change the bandage afterward, anyway, and can inspect her injury then.

The spigots squeak as she begins the noisy process of filling the bath. Laura winces, but then realizes that she should not be overly concerned if she wakens Tricia. She is going to have to confront her friend sooner or later, as uncomfortable as that will be. Laura wonders how Tricia is going to act toward her, now that she has given Narcissa that which Tricia has so obviously wanted.

With a sigh of resignation, then relief, Laura settles into the warm, sudsy water.

He could care less about her fate, as she was the newest and most impudent chydle to Guillaume. Still though, he would attend to her hunger by leaving out a glass of bloodwyne here and there. They could relieve this tension she was feeling, and they could be her companions in waiting. She went to the library and sat on the couch, much to Briant's relief that she is finally sitting still. She decides to retrieve Laura and Tricia by the end of the night, but waits. She wants them both to become accustomed to their new skin.::

Laura relaxes in the hot water of her bubble bath.

During each of the past several nights, what had started as an innocent bath had degenerated into an opportunity for Laura to privately relieve the extraordinary sexual tension she has felt ever since arriving here at the family summer home of her best friend, Belle Phillips. She had only seen Belle briefly, the first night here, when she learned that Belle planned to run off with a mysterious lover.

Laura assumes it is the romance of Belle's decision that has had her feeling so libidinous ever since that encounter. At first, Laura's lust had been unfocused. Then her envy for Belle's romantic adventure had turned into longing, not for an unknown stranger like the one who had swept Belle away, but for Belle herself. This had been quite inexplicable to Laura, who had never before felt any homosexual tendencies.

Laura suspected these unusual urges might have been inspired as Tricia, her friend and traveling companion, became increasingly blatant about lesbian interest in Laura. Whatever the cause, these strange longings had persisted and burgeoned, to the point where last night, when she met Sir Guillaume FitzHenry and his lover, Narcissa, Laura was shocked to find that she was far more attracted and aroused by the beautiful and curvaceous woman, and not the dashing British knight!

Laura shudders, thinking of to where those desires had led earlier this evening. She still can hardly believe she let Narcissa make love to her. She really cannot remember how it came to pass. It felt so wonderful at the time. Laura has never before known such ecstacy. It was only when Narcissa tried to turn their private intimacies into a larger orgy, involving Guillaume and Tricia, that Laura became fully aware of what she had already done, and railed against it.

Laura is now terribly relieved she had not allowed matters to go any farther. Tricia must know what Laura had done with Narcissa. That was bad enough. But if Tricia had actually participated, Laura does not know how she could ever face her.

Laura sighs. She knows she should not feel so embarrassed or ashamed of what she had done with Narcissa. There is nothing wrong with homosexuality, and Laura knew it was not uncommon for women her age to try such experiences. But except for these past few days -- her fantasies about Belle; her temptation to use Tricia to satisfy her physical needs; and her ultimate surrender to Narcissa's advances -- Laura has simply never thought of herself in those terms, and even now still rejects the whole idea of being a lesbian.

No, it was much better to leave it all behind her. Laura knows she still desires Narcissa. Indeed, Laura can feel the physical longing for the woman reviving even now, echoing in a growing sense of emptiness within her, as the warm sudsy water swirls around her sensitive skin. But she decides that she will simply avoid any more contact with Narcissa.

Immediately, a small part of her psyche silently cries out against spurning Narcissa. Laura groans softly as her body unmistakably signals its need to again feel what Narcissa had done for her earlier this evening. It crosses Laura's mind that she has fallen in love with Narcissa, but she instantly rejects the notion. Laura is resolved and determined. The next time Guillaume and Narcissa show up at the door -- and Laura has no doubt there will be a next time -- she will politely but firmly send them away.

Having made this decision, Laura sighs shakily. She again reaches for the bright plastic bottle of children's toy bubbles on the shelf next to the tub. She withdraws the ring-tipped wand and blows life into bubbles, taking delight in the way the sparkling transparent spheres dance around the room. She welcomes this distraction from the urges that memories of Narcissa's fingers and tongue have her body aching for Laura to satisfy alone even now.

Caught in this tension between childlike play and adult lust, Laura barely reacts when she realizes that the door adjoining the bathroom to the master bedroom has opened.

Laura's eyes widen only slightly when she looks up and perceives Tricia on the other side of the door, sitting in the darkened bedroom, watching her.

Unnoticed in his corner, Ian watches Narcissa pace around the mansion. The sudden departure of Dahlia and Belladonna has left the household in turmoil. Now Narcissa, this Vampire chylde, is left here essentially unsupervised, with her Sire, Sir Guillaume, himself being gone for some reason unknown.

Ian can see that it is a defining moment for all involved. He somehow understands that these events are part of a much larger change the residents and guests of Crimson Kiss manor must soon face. Despite his timeless wisdom, however, Ian cannot foresee the exact nature of this change, much less whether it will be for good or for ill.

Now alone in the parlor, Ian pulls his mandolin from his haversack and plays himself a song.

~~~
She wore a black tiara,
Rare gems upon her fingers,
And she came from distant waters
Where northern lights explode
To celebrate the dawning
Of the new wastes of winter,
Gathering royal momentum
On the icy road.
With chill mists swirling
Like petticoats in motion,
Sighted on horizons
For ten thousand years,
The lady of the ice sounds
A deathly distant rumble
To Titanic-breaking children lost
In melting crystal tears.
Capturing black pieces
In a glass-fronted museum,
The white queen rolls
On the chessboard of the dawn,
Squeezing through the valleys,
Pausing briefly in the corries,
The Ice-Mother mates
And a new age is born.
Driving all before her,
un-stoppable, un-straining,
Her cold creaking mass
Follows reindeer down.
Thin spreading fingers seek
To embrace the sill-warm bundles
That huddle on the doorsteps
Of a white London Town.
Oh, sunshine take me now away from here.
I'm a needle on a spiral in a groove,
And the turntable spins
As the last waltz begins,
And the weather-man says
Something's on the move.
::Enough was enough. It was getting too late in the evening for her to just sit and mull over her newest situation. She needed to go get Laura and Tricia before the rising sun would make her wait any longer. She could take one more day alone, but didn't want to. Both of them could satisfy any urges she might have...bloodlust, sex, conversation, whatever she wanted she could just take from them. Tonight, they would both sleep in her bed, or at least she hoped.::
"Briant, I'm going to retrieve our slaves. I'll be back very soon."
::He nodded, albeit reluctantly, at her statement and she made her way outside for the 2nd time this evening. She was worried she would get lost, but easily picked up on their scent from before. She was also able to pick up on the scent of Laura and Tricia as she quickly headed towards their house. Her new senses still amazed her and she savored the moment. When she got to the door, she hesitated thinking about what kind of excuse she was going to use to get them out of the house. Although if they resisted, she would only use her power of mezmerization to get them out. It was easy. She knocked lightly on the door, then a bit harder, as if in desperation. She bit her lip and called out::
"Laura, Tricia...come quick! I need your help! It's Guillaume...he's...he's...hurt himself! Please, gather your clothes, I need some help!"
::Her voice sounded urgent, if not downright panicked. She could hear them both clamoring upstairs as if they were getting dressed quickly to come to her aid. She chuckled low as she realized that was all too simple.::
Laura relaxes in the hot water of her bubble bath, absentmindedly playing with the bright plastic bottle of children's toy bubbles she found in this bathroom several nights earlier. She withdraws the ring-tipped wand and blows life into bubbles, taking delight in the way the sparkling transparent spheres dance around the room. She welcomes this distraction from the urges that memories of Narcissa's fingers and tongue have her body aching for Laura to satisfy alone even now. Caught in this tension between childlike play and adult lust, Laura barely reacts when she realizes that the door adjoining the bathroom to the master bedroom has opened.
Laura's eyes widen only slightly when she looks up and perceives Tricia on the other side of the door, sitting in the darkened bedroom, watching her.
After everything that has already occurred this evening, Laura is neither shocked nor offended by Tricia's brazenness. The only thing that disturbs Laura is her own uncertainty -- given how her thoughts of Narcissa have her feeling -- as to whether she will be willing, much less able, to resist seduction should Tricia carry her presumption to its next logical step.
Laura is perhaps saved from confronting this dilemma by the sound of desperate knocking on the front door downstairs.
"Laura! Tricia!" Narcissa shouts from the front porch. "Come quick! I need your help! It's Guillaume.... He's... he's... hurt himself! Please, gather your clothes, I need some help!"
Laura leaps out of the tub and snatches her towel, drying herself as she dashes across the hall to her bedroom. She opens her suitcase, finding it nearly devoid of clean clothes. She had packed for a week of Spring Break, and this unplanned extended sojourn to the northwoods has depleted her wardrobe.
She hasn't time to tarry in indecision. Narcissa need her help and said to hurry. Laura grabs the short black dress she never had occasion to wear in Florida. She pulls it on, then steps into the pair of moderately heeled mules she packed to go with it.
Returning to the hall, she is relieved to see Tricia has also responded quickly to Narcissa's call. Tricia is back in the blue halter dress and cardigan she'd worn yesterday, and carrying a pair of white sneakers.
Without further deliberation of the circumstances, both women run downstairs, unlock the front door, and exit the house.
::She is pleased they come down so quickly and as they exit, she looks to them pleadingly. Without further hesitation she takes each one in her hands and heads off into the forest. They don't even think about it, because of the urgency of her request, but because she has both in each hand, they are practically floating through the forest at a tremendous rate of speed. Within a matter of minutes, they are back at the Kiss. The large opulant building sits like a dark shadow against the forest, unrecognizable in the dark. She leads them into the library, where she pretends Guillaume was last.::
"He's...he's gone!
::She looks around, pretending like he was last laying on the couch.::
"Perhaps he went to seek medical attention."
::She turns back to the both of them, who seem obviously confused. She paints a grief striken face across her own and moves to them sorrowfully.::
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry to drag you out. But, with Guillaume out looking for Belle and Dahlia, I'm afraid to be alone here. Will you stay with me? Just for a little while?"
::Laura looks to her and replies. 'Belle and Dahlia? I thought you said he was sick? What the hell is going on around here?' It is said with a force of anger only matched by that of Dahlia's before she left. She bites her lip and turns. But the name Belle rings in Laura's head. Could it be the same Belle? She turns back to the both of them and looks apologetically.::
"I'm sorry. I've lied to you both. Guillaume isn't hurt at all. He went to go find Belladonna and Dahlia. But I don't know why. They both left here in a hurry. And now it seems I'm left all alone here. This place is dark and too big, and quite frankly, I was hoping you would both keep me company. I'm just...well....lonely."
::She inflects her voice to gain sympathy from them. Another use of manipulation on her part to get them to stay. Tricia is already looking to Laura beggingly for them to stay at this large mansion.::
"There is plenty of food and rooms for you to stay in. There is even a large wardrobe you could dive into. Please...just for a little while."
Under any other circumstances, Laura would have been far more defensive and mistrusting. After all, Narcissa had lied to coax Laura and her friend Tricia here. And while that did anger Laura momentarily, her fury quickly drains away, replaced mostly by exhaustion, but also by an inexplicable sense of guilt for having yelled at Lady Narcissa.
Laura's innate scepticism -- especially toward figures of authority -- simply melts under Lady Narcissa's warm and penitent gaze. After the last few day's incessant emotional turmoil and sexual confusion, Laura has depleted her entire stock of physical and intellectual stamina.
For a moment, the mention of "Belle" reinvigorates her. She hopes that Lady Narcissa knows something of Laura's missing best friend, Belinda Phillips, whom everyone calls "Belle." But then Lady Narcissa brings up the full name -- Belladonna -- and Laura realized she must mean someone else.
That disappointment is the final straw. Laura's final trace of willpower breaks down. As Lady Narcissa explains the amenities this mansion offers, Laura simply slumps into a chair, unquestioningly accepting anything Lady Narcissa tells her.
"There is plenty of food and rooms for you to stay in," Princess Narcissa tells them truthfully.
Not that Laura is in any position to doubt what Lady Narcissa says, given the hypnotic suggestions to which Laura has been subjected. It only makes sense to her that Lady Narcissa would reside in a palace like this. In fact, Laura recalls that someone has said that her hostess is actually a princess... so of course she would live in such opulence.
"There is even a large wardrobe you could dive into," Princess Narcissa adds as an unnecessary additional inducement for Laura and Tricia to accede to her wish that they stay and keep her company. "Please... just for a little while."
"Of course...." Laura replies automatically, the unrecognized effects of Narcissa's vampiric mesmerism combined with her essence now filtering through Laura's bloodstream leaving no doubt as to her response.
Already much further under a similar spell, Tricia simply nods her assent.
"Of course," Laura repeats, standing to face Princess Narcissa. "We will be happy to stay and keep you company, Your Hi... I mean, Lady Nar... I mean...."
Laura blushes under Princess Narcissa's direct stare. "I'm so sorry. These past few days have been so trying. I think Sir Guillaume explained it all to me... Your title and all.... But... And... I think we're supposed to call you something other than Lad... other than Narcissa... but I just can't remember what it is."
Every rebellious instinct inside of Laura clamors, albeit feebly, against the thoughts and desires surfacing within her. These final doubts are silenced by the force of Princess Narcissa's gaze. None the less, Laura sounds truly forlorn even as she whispers her question...
"How is it that I should properly address you?"
::She looks to Laura who seems to be melting with her words and smiles pleasantly. She is grateful that her plan so far is working. As long as she can continue to sip from Laura and Tricia, this should be easy enough. At least until Laura wonders how to address her. She starts to say Pric....Princess? Who the hell told Laura she was a princess? If it was Guillaume, he must be playing some kind of prank on her. Then she starts to call her Lady. She is so far from even being a lady that her own laughter surprises her.::
"How to address me? Just call me Narcissa. That's all my name is."
::She looks to Laura strangely a bit confused as to where Laura got all this misinformation about her.::
"I am no princess, and am certainly no Lady. I came from the city Laura. As a matter of fact, before I met Lord Guillaume, I lived in a 1 room rat infested apartment downtown. But he...he is elegant...a true gentleman."
::All three of them begin to think of Guillaume and being that Tricia and herself have his blood in them, the mere thought of him is arousing. She leans back and smiles thinking of his careful words, thoughtful mannerisms and loving touch against her skin.::
"You and he will talk when he comes back Laura. You will see. I don't think I've ever loved a man the way I love him."
::Her words of love imply much more then her own love for Guillaume. They are intended to bring out a longing in both women...a longing for love from her and Guilluame.::
"I am no princess, and am certainly no Lady," Narcissa claims. "I came from the city, Laura. As a matter of fact, before I met Lord Guillaume, I lived in a one room, rat-infested apartment downtown. But he... he is elegant... a true gentleman."
Laura sighs. Princess Narcissa...
...No. Just "Narcissa," Laura reminds herself...
Narcissa is clearly being modest. She may not be a princess... Come to think of it, Laura can't remember anyone actually saying she was a princess... Laura had just assumed so from her grace and beauty...
Narcissa may not be a princess, but she must have more going for her than the typical inner-city pauper she claims to be. How else would she have become the beloved companion of a British gentleman such as the now-absent Sir Guillaume FitzHenry, and come to dwell in this palatial mansion?
Indeed, Laura is sure there must be something far nobler to Lady Narcissa...
...No. Just "Narcissa," Laura reminds herself...
Laura is sure there is something far nobler about Narcissa than she admits. Those unknown but believed virtues, and Narcissa's humility in their regard, only amplify Laura's affection for her.
Narcissa continues speaking of Sir Guillaume. "You and he will talk when he comes back, Laura. You will see. I don't think I've ever loved a man the way I love him."
Laura does not think she has ever...
Again, Laura sighs. Narcissa's romance is all so lovely, as is Narcissa herself. And she has been so kind to Laura these past two evenings. Is it any wonder, despite only meeting her one night ago, that Laura already feels such devoted friendship for Narcissa?
Laura does not think she has ever loved a woman the way she loves Narcissa...
Laura shudders, realizing that is not quite true. She loved... loves... her best friend, Belle the same.
Until recently, Laura never thought of her friendships, especially with women, in terms of "love." But something about Belle's sudden decision to run off with a mysterious lover had affected Laura in ways she would never have expected. After Belle left, Laura found that she envied Belle, then missed her, and then -- most shockingly, given that Laura had never before had a lesbian thought in her life -- she discovered that she desired Belle, and began to dream of making love with her.
It was in that frame of mind that Laura had allowed herself -- and she must admit that, in the end, she did allow it -- to be seduced by Narcissa.
Now Laura believes she sees a pattern. Just as she envied Belle's adventure, she finds that she covets the fairytale romance Narcissa has with Sir Guillaume. But again, her sexual desire is focused not on the dashing knight, but on his lady, Narcissa.
Knowing nothing of Belle's and Narcissa's vampiric essence infusing her living blood, nor of the physical response caused by its addictive nature, Laura resigns herself to the mistaken conception that she is, after all, a lesbian. While Laura believes in tolerance of all lifestyles, and has never held any antipathy towards homosexuals, this is such a departure from her lifetime self-perception that Laura finds she must again sit.
She looks up at her lover...
...No. Just "Narcissa," Laura reminds herself...
"You are very lucky to have a man like Sir Guillaume," Laura whispers. She has suffered too many radical surprises in too short a span of days. Emotional and physical exhaustion overcomes her, and she yawns, as if in reaction to what Narcissa has said about loving Sir Guillaume.
Blushing, Laura glances at her watch. Her voice remains shaky as she offers her explanation. "I'm sorry, Lady... I mean, Narcissa.. It sure has gotten late. If we stay up much longer, we can all watch the sunrise."
"Sunrise? No...we should all get some rest. There are no rooms prepared so I insist we all sleep in my room. The bed is large enough for ten people to sleep on."
::She gets up lazily, thinking she is a bit tired herself and rest would be a many splendored thing. She takes Laura and Tricia by the hand and leads them up the eternal stairway. Tonight, she will remember. Her gaze moves about the old empty house taking in the appearance of every nook and cranny as they go to the top of the stairs. It is there she pauses. Even the witches are quiet. The entire house is unearthly quiet. It will be a good rest with her slaves next to her, but restless without her eternal love Guillaume. She had been alone so many years, it disturbed her that she felt so alone without Guillaume. She needed him more than ever. She sighed and led both women into her chambers.::
"Come...lets all get comfortable."
::The implications of that had a special effect on Laura and Tricia. Her words were soothing and they were tired. Instinctually, both removed all articles of clothing and moved like zombies towards the bed. She, herself, removed all clothing revealing luscious curves and long red curls that hang down her back. The first signs of dawn start to peek through the curtains as they all move towards the bed. She sleeps in the middle with Laura and Tricia on either side. They all snuggle inside the cool sheets with the warm blankets on top. She leans to each one and kisses them lightly on the lips for reassurance.::
"Good night Tricia. Good night Laura. I love you both."
::Her desire to fondle and kiss these women comes up, but wanes quickly as she is forced, by nature, into a deep vampiric sleep. She will dream of her lover tonight and awaken to an entirely new life.::
