My name is Laura Gregory Calvin. I was born and raised in Athens, Henderson County Texas.
I pretty much grew up living with my late grandparents John and Sarah "Sally" Miller Fuller.We lived north of Athens in the Bethel community on Clebbern Pool's farm. My parents are Marsahll Gregory Jr. "Junior" and Sherian Fuller.I am married and my husband and I live in Anderson County Texas. My mother lives in Florida and my dad lives in Van Zandt County. My mother and dad are both retired.
I got into genealogy in 1999 and have met several new relatives.And have met alot of nice people through querry boards and by being a volunteer to do cemetery lookups in Henderson County, Texas.Some of my surnames are Boyd, Burden Fuller, Harris and others.
In my free time I like to go out and transcribe some of the smaller cemeteries in Anderson and Henderson County Texas. I have taken over 1500 digital pictures of tombstones.And I plan to take many more. My husband recently became disabled and he has been going with me to some of the cemeteries in Anderson County. In the summer time two of my nieces go with me and help me transcribe and take pictures.In the near future I hope to transcribe more cemeteries in Henderson County.As my roots run deep in that county but because I live in Anderson County I decided to transcribe here also.
I do not have any children but my sister has five children and I am very close to the two girls ages 13 and 15 as of 2003.
I volunteer to take digital pictures of cemetery markers in Anderson and Henderson County Texas. And I volunteer to do cemetery lookups from the cemetery books from Henderson County.If you have a family member buried in either of these counties and know the name of the cemetery and and you do not live in the area and would like a picture of the marker feel free to email me and I will try to get a picture for you.
Also if there is a cemetery that you would like to see transcribed in Anderson or Henderson County Texas and there is less the 300 graves feel free to email me and I will see if I can transcribe it.
