With Dad

My father is an antiques dealer, who occasionally branches out into old documents and other assorted "treasures" (my mother and step-mother both refer to most of his stuff as "junk," but that’s a whole other story.) When I was little, my father used to take my younger sister (Jenny) and me to flea markets, where he’d either be buying various "treasures" or selling them. I was extremely comforted to discover that the flea market in Barcelona was almost identical to those that I was used to being dragged to – people selling junk as treasures, for the most part, and everyone haggling over prices.
