Mom called yesterday

This is one place where I screwed-up – I didn’t let anyone back in the States know that I’d arrived safe and sound. Apparently this oversight on my part (I can’t imagine why it didn’t occur to me to call someone) caused quite a bit of panic with my family and boyfriend. I did receive a sound reprimand (more than one, come to think of it) upon my return over this very matter.
