The fact that the movie was subtitled left me in an awkward position: the subtitles appeared on the screen a bit slower than the verbal dialogue, and I was "getting the joke" before anyone else in the theatre. Therefore, I would be laughing while everyone else around me was still reading the text. I kept sinking deeper and deeper down into my seat in embarrassment.
