I knew them immediately

This was actually a very big deal, as I had never met Albert or Maria. We had conversed through letters, and I had seen photographs of them, but had no idea what to really expect. I remember when they hugged me, and, for the first time since I had landed in Frankfurt, I felt at peace and at home and safe. I knew that whatever happened from here, everything would work out. That was an amazing sensation.
