Dutch intervened

I actually have absolutely no idea what this reference is to. I have pondered it since I returned from the trip, and am absolutely stumped. Maybe it means that someone German intervened on my behalf – or maybe it really is a reference to someone Danish. Sorry I can't be more informative here.
