| i kind of divide my life in brasil up into two parts. for the majority of the year i was in my little home town doing little home town things and just...becoming a part of this other place. but there was another, almost entirely seperate part, that gave me the opportunity to see the country from the amazon rain forest to the german populated south, and all of the gorgeuos things that fall between. ive skinny dipped in the amazon, piranha fished, walked under waterfalls, turned a lovely shade of neon pink on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, danced in the carnaval parade in Rio de Janeiro, and partied at the brazilian rip-off of oktoberfest in the south. Most of the things that i did in one year, most brazilians will never get to in their life times, and the people i got to do it with,a group of 50 or so exchange students from every corner of the world, only made it that much better :) |
