Normal degrafting
Grafted cactus on a non-permanent stock has to be degrafted someday. I use hylocereus as a grafting stock quite often. Hylocereus is fit well Ariocurpus and gives a very good growing. Since Hylocereus is not a permanent stock, I use the following degrafting method.
1. 2 years olds Ariocurpus retusus, around 10cm diameter 2.1 Breaking off at joint by hand. This is the stock side.
2.2 Scion side. A large cavity on joint part. 3. Fill in rooting powder in the cavity.
4. Dried around 2 weeks 4. Pot for rooting, I use clay base cat litter on top.
5. Fill in wet cat litter in the cavity. 6. Set cactus in pot
7. Put a sheet of tissue on top of the cactus, wait rooting 8. Rooted completely
