Vanity of Vanities

Intelligence is useless without moral wisdom

Tempered by self-knowledge and self-control;

Happiness is elusive without love, hope and joy

Without true concern and care for each other;

Worldly sophistication is but affectation

Wealth, without altruism, breeds self-indulgence;

Power without compassion and control

Gives rise to the evils of pride and malice;

All, all are vanity of vanities,

When un-tempered by GOD–fearing HOLINESS;

Life is mortal, like grass that withers

Flowers that fade,

So look to the immortal, the immutable

The Almighty YAHWEH and JESUS, HIS MESSIAH,

To deliver us from evil temptations;

To lead gentle, humble lives

Loving GOD with all our heart,

And loving our neighbour as ourselves.
