The fear of the LORD
The fear of the LORD
Is the beginning of wisdom;
It is a deep-seated reverence for
HIS HOLY RIGHTEOUSNESS, HIS PERFECT JUSTICE
HIS LOVING COMPASSION,
It is not the fear of human arbitrary and punitive authority;
It is based upon a holy respect for HIS being Almighty GOD
From Whom we draw our being, the source of life,
From Whom we derive sustenance: spiritual, moral and physical.
Our LORD GOD did not come to judge but to save us from
The moral iniquities of self-centered human nature;
JESUS CHRIST came as a MESSIAH
HE came with LOVING COMPASSION, not intimidation!
On our own strength, we are frail and vacillating,
It is self deceiving
To believe in our own good works
To achieve Salvation;
Salvation is a gift of HIS grace
So we cannot boast!
