         I Have Loved You

     In the last book of the Old Testament, Malachi, the Lord says, “I have loved you,” yet the Jews responded by questioning God, “How have you loved us?”

     Today, many of us respond the same way in our heart to God’s assurance of His love for us. The perennial questions that we raise whenever we have adversity, misfortune or incurable illness are, “Why God?” “Why me?” “This is not fair.” When such unhappy events come to us, we question God’s love for us. We don’t trust God enough to see us through all our circumstances. The questioning of God’s love for us is manifested by our action, our behavior, our attitude and our disposition.

     God hears our murmuring and whispering. God is burdened and has revealed His answers for us in perpetuity in Malachi.    

Pastor Ed Miller has listed the perennial and fundamental questions as follows:

        Are we clear about the LOVE of God?
        Are we clear about the WORKS of God?
        Are we clear about the PEOPLE of God?
        Are we clear about the WAYS of God?
        Are we clear about the FAITHFULNESS of God?
        Are we clear about the GLORY of God?
     and he says that God has given His perfect answers in the book of Malachi.
