| Artist: Britney Spears Album: Oops... I Did It Again Title: Lucky This is a story about a girl named Lucky Early morning, she wakes up Knock, knock, knock on the door Relena Peacecraft sat up in her bed and smiled at the door. She thanked the man, and he nodded before leaving to make her breakfast. It's time for makeup, perfect smile It's you they're all waiting for After brushing out her hair and putting on a light layer of makeup, Relena ate her small breakfast and got into the car to be taken to school. It was very early fall and the trees were still an incredible mixture of colors. She sighed and waited for the vehical to reach her school. They go "Isn't she lovely, this Hollywood girl?" And they say Not five minutes after Relena had stepped inside then she was surrounded by her friends. They all praised her on quite a few nonsensical things and she smiled where necessary and gave comments back to the girls. On her way to class she smiled at the ever straight-faced Heero Yuy and remained smiling at the braided baka that had his arm slung over Heeros shoulders. The American grinned at the other girl as she passed and gave a sarcastically enthusiastic wave. She's so lucky, she's a star But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking If there's nothing missing in my life Then why do these tears come at night? Hours later, she returned home and ate dinner before excusing herself for an early bedtime. As she watched orange, red and yellow leaves drift past the windows she sighed and thought of Heero. She was fascinated with his strength. He never lost control of any situation or operation and always managed to avoid killing her. The thought of death made her think of her adoptive father. She shook old images out of her mind and repositioned her head on the pillow. Startled by a dampness under her cheek, she sat up slightly and peered at her fluffy headrest. A small wet area lay in the left half of the cushion. Disbelieving, she ran a finger over the spot but it remained. Another appeared beside it and she felt her eyes burn. Slowly, Relena wiped the tears from her eyes. Unsure and frustrated at her now-familiar lack of control, she rolled over and slept on the other half of the pillow. Her tears soaked the fabric further until she finally slept.. Lost in an image, in a dream But there's no one there to wake her up And the world is spinning, and she keeps on winning But tell me what happens when it stops? Relena dreamt of Heero that night, a long dream where they casually spoke of life and the things happening during this war. When she woke, Pagen was once again calling her from the door, what was deemed a polite and gentle wakeup for a wealthy girl such as herself. She wanted an alarm clock for the first time in her life. They go "Isn't she lovely, this Hollywood girl?" And they say The familiar school day was played out without wavering and Relena once again went to bed early. Her excuse was that school had tired her. She lay in bed with a longing, a whishing for something. She thought on the unreached thing until she slept. She's so lucky, she's a star But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking If there's nothing missing in my life Then why do these tears come at night? "Best actress, and the winner isLucky!" "I'm Roger Johnson for Pop News standing outside the arena waiting for Lucky" "Oh my godhere she comes!" In her sleep, Relena tossed fitfully. Isn't she lucky, this Hollywood girl? She is so lucky, but why does she cry? If there's nothing missing in her life Why do tears come at night? With a choked, gasping sob, she awoke and sat up. Tears ran down her face but she laughed though them softly. Rising, she dressed in the only casual jeans she had and packed a small book bag with clothes and a smattering of money. She smiled in an almost unreasonable humor, she wouldnt cry anymore. She's so lucky, she's a star But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking If there's nothing missing in my life Then why do these tears come at night? Laughing though her tears, she fled into the early dawn, slipping away through dewy grass and sleeping birds huddled in their trees. Grabbing the first traveling boat she could find in the nearby bay, she paid its captain to take her away. He spoke to her when they were well out to sea. You know who you look like, girl? Who? She smiled freely as she leaned back into the railing of the boat with very unladylike posture. That Relena Peacecraft girl. Relena laughed, Sorry, but Im not her. Im a regular kid, just going places. Two hours later, they reached a random cove and docked. Before she got of the boat she spoke to the man again. Hey, you dont happen to have an extra alarm clock do you? |
