| Gundam Wing: Legend of Mystiks Chapter 37 Itai! Pyre snickered. Onna! Nani? Yamete! Doushite? Wufei fumed momentarily, allowing his wings to flap angrily once, then calmed himself. Youll regret it. Pyre considered this for about ten minutes, then decided to have pity on him and stopped. For a while. Then, with a small flick of her hand, Pyre sent another ripple of flame behind him to singe the seat of his pants, which was beginning to turn a shade of dark, dark gray. Itai! Pyre snickered. Onna! Wufei. Pyre. They looked up. Resak-sama! Pyre cried in surprise. Pyre, its very important that you listen to me . . . *~*~* He stopped and stared. S-Seraph? She jumped and whipped around. Nani?! Did you see?! See what? She narrowed her eyes. Quit lying. I know you did. Quatre swallowed under the glare. So what? Nandemo nai. You just cant say anything. To who? Humans. Its not something for their eyes. Doushite? Its a Mystik dance. If you arent a Mystik or dont possess natural magic skills, you cant see it. Doushite? Seraph shrugged. Itll drive you mad. Doushite? How should I know? Thats just what I was told. Quatre sat down in the grass and held in his lap a wolf pup whod wandered away from its mother, who was on the edge of the clearing. Could you dance again? For me? Seraph laughed. Anything for you, Quatre. You know that. She had just finished the complicated dance when there was a flash of white. Seraph. Quatre. Quatre smiled. Otousan! Seraph bowed and backed away a bit to allow the new being some room. It is an honor that you joined us, Kami-sama. Therell be time for pleasantries later. Seraph, listen to me . . . *~*~* Whatre you reading? He glanced up at her, then refocused on his book. Gryphen Mage. Oh! I love that book! Can I read it with you? Can I can I can I?! Terestria bounced up and down excitedly. Trowa raised an eyebrow at her enthusiasm, but made room for her. Hai. She sat between his legs and leaned back against him, waiting impatiently for him to resettle. He rested his chin on her head and placed the book on her drawn up knees where they could both see the words clearly. Their reading time was interrupted. Eravur-sama? Trowa. Terestria, especially, listen to what I have to say. Its imperative that you know this . . . *~*~* Nothing. Nothing. Nothing! Heero headed back to Airia empty-handed. He hadnt found a vine that could hold her weight and so he was going back. No matter what he had to do, hed get her out of that pit. Heero! Nani? he asked as calmly as possible, sensing her panic. Humans! They were trying to catch an animal and now theyre trying to get me! Im coming. Just dont let them near you. Heero sped up and dove to skim just above the trees. Off to his left, he saw the Kings Castle. It looked pretty active, considering all the armored men riding out of the castle and through the trees beneath him. <Whats going on?> Finally coming to the area, Heero dove into the trees and paused to survey the situation. Two men were lowering a rope into the hole, calling to Airia to come up. But the tone of their voices promised nothing good. They wore the suit of the kings army, but they certainly werent acting the way they pledged they would. What the hell do you think youre doing? Heero snarled, still hovering in the air. The men looked up in surprise. General Yuy?! Heero flew closer. Spit it out! Well we found a Mystik in one of our traps and were trying to help her out, but she wouldnt accept the rope. Bullshit! If you were just trying to help her, why did you call for the rest of the kings army? The men dropped the rope and drew back away from the hole, knowing they couldnt argue and win. Heero landed and peered into it. Im back, Airia. Come on up. After a while, Airias head appeared. Heero? Heero helped her up and made sure she was always in his sight. Turning back to the two men, he snapped, Im pretty sure there are rules about hunting so close to the Kings Castle. Youre a Mystik too! they eventually got out. The king is going to hear about this! He already knows, Heero replied, his voice deadly quiet. Oh, and by the way, infiltrators die. They cowered. How did you . . . know? they cried without thinking. I just did. Next time, make those uniforms more realistic. With hardly a sound, Heeros feet left the ground and he punched one man, breaking his neck. The other was kicked in the back of his neck. Both times snaps of bone were audible. Airia watched until she felt a blade touch the back of her head. Her eyes darted from side to side to catch a glimpse of her captor, but they werent in the right place. <I could dive forward . . .> Then Heero turned around. He took in the situation and growled. General Yuy?! <What is it with everybody saying my name like that?> Heero smirked. <Like I surprised them or something.> He dropped the look. Hai, Lieutenant? Uh, sir, you have . . . wings. |
