I wrote this for a friend about her relationship years back, and they are
still together!

It could have been a dream,
nothing more than a desire,
But it wasn�t.
It could have been a breeze,
that blows away without a trace,
But it wasn�t.
It could have been a poem,
quickly written, then forgotten,
But it wasn�t.
And all I can say is:
It could have been an ocean,
magical, deep, permanent, and steady.
And it is!
