The three upper pictures are are me in shirtsleeves. This is the basic field wear that I use. Hat, Shirt, Neckerchief, Vest (waistcoat), Trousers, Woven Sash, and Wool Socks and two pairs of Moccasins. The gear consists of Shooting Bag containing all necessary items for use and maintenance of my flintlock firearms, and Powder horn. These are slung over my right shoulder and are carried high and out-of-the-way. Over my left shoulder I carry a small hatchet in a sling. My belt holds a pouch, my flint-and-steel fire kit, two knives, and a pistol. My vest has several pockets containing various personal "pocket stuff".

The two lower pictures feature all the same as the upper images, with the addition of a lightweight caped Hunting Shirt. It usually stays opened but can be closed with a tied sash or belt. If the weather promises to be cold, I wear multiple layers of lightweight clothing. I have been in snowstorms with this arrangement and am here to talk about it.
I wish to note that every piece of clothing and accoutrement was made by myself except for the blank from which the hat was made.
